The Washington Post reported in Wednesday’s editions that Charles Rangel, a Democratic representative from New York, would leave Congress if the GOP retained control of the House.
More from the Party of Cut and Run.
But I’ll believe it when I see it. Just like Alec Baldwin and a whole bus-full of his Hollywood buddies promised they would move out of the United States when President Bush won re-election.
Ace doesn’t believe Charlie will honor his word, either:
Will he actually quit? Of course not. Somehow he’ll contrive a “moral victory” even if Republicans gain seats.
Still, it will be funny to watch him explain that he’s far too important to possibly quit the Congress.

If Democrats lose in November, then like Rangel, I will have reached my breaking point.
Hmmm…I wonder if David has had enough that he’d be willing to move to Canada when the Dems fail to regain control of the House? Let me know if you do, David. I’ll pay for your one-way bus ticket to Canada. I’ll even drive you to the bus stop (to make sure you actually get on that bus).

What’s the point of going to the trouble of being elected to the House of Representatives if you’re going to leave before you’re dead or convicted?
