Uniformed Soldier Attacked by Five Men

In Parkland, Washington — not far from the gates of US Army base Ft. Lewis — in PARKLAND, Wash. — five young men attacked a uniformed National Guardsmen.

The soldier was walking to a convenience store when a sport utility vehicle pulled up alongside him and the driver asked if he was in the military and if he had been in any action.

The driver then got out of the vehicle, displayed a gun and shouted insults at the victim. Four other suspects exited the vehicle and knocked the soldier down, punching and kicking him.

“And during the assault the suspects called him a baby killer. At that point they got into the car and drove off and left him on the side of the road,” Detective Ed Troyer with the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department told KIRO 7 Eyewitness News.

But don’t you dare question their patriotism…in fact, in the pantheon of Liberalism where “dissent is the highest form of patriotism”, these guys are probably being hailed as fucking heros by their fellow “peace” activists.

The world needs some karmic balance today. I think I’ll head over to campus and knock a patchouli-smelling hippie off his Vespa and kick the shit out of him.

Too bad this ex-Marine wasn’t around to witness the crime. 1 Marine — who was a hand-to-hand combat instructor in the Marine Corps — against 5 punks with only 1 gun between them? It would have been a slaughter.

Annika — “That is just sick. Every time some terrorist cell gets busted we hear no end of public service announcements intended to prevent “hate crimes” against muslims. They must be very effective, since I haven’t heard of a single such “hate crime” since 9/11. Maybe we should be doing the same thing to protect our military in certain sections of the country.”

Rusty at the Jawa Report: “I know it is hard for some of you to grasp, but people hate the United States and its soldiers because they actually believe we are the bad guys. I heard Howard Zinn on Dennis Prager’s radio show yesterday. If you only believed half of what Zinn has to say, you’d spit on our soldiers too.”

Why isn’t this all over the news? God knows it is when “abuse” is heaped upon (or so the media makes it seem) so-called innocent terror suspects. This happened in our own country by a bunch of guys (5 on 1, real brave there) with no appreciation for the men and women serving in the military. This is the first I’ve heard of it and I read all the major papers and this just disgusts me. I really hope they find who did this and by “they” I don’t necessarily hope that the police get to them before someone who can teach them a real lesson does…

WTF?

I’m sorry- I’m a little suspicious. The rhetoric of the attackers seems more like what conservatives imagine those against the war would say than anything I’ve ever heard actually said. The blame of this war rests on the Bush Adminstration not our relatives and friends that have been asked to fight.

Anyway, if it’s a real attack they should be able to find the assailants given the description (and the fact that it’s so stupid that someone is likely to turn them in). That’ll be fun.

Preston — Sen. Murtha would be very proud of you. A US Soldier is attacked, and your first response is to call him a liar and discredit his story.

And the “blame” for this war is entirely on Islamofascist terrorists hell bent on converting the entire world to Islam — or killing those who won’t. I could be persuaded that this war has not been managed as best it could have been, but I don’t blame one bit of the cause for this war on my country or our President.

Oh, and I’ve been called “baby killer” to my face by anti-military activists so many times I couldn’t even begin to count. I can assure you that I didn’t “imagine” it, and that their vitriol upon finding out I was a combat decorated Soldier or Veteran was palpable.

And the “blame” for this war is entirely on Islamofascist terrorists

Iraq had nothing to do with the attack on our country. Invading Iraq strengthened the hand of Islamic fundamentalists. If that is not clear to you yet I don’t know what could possibly convince you.

Oh, and I’ve been called “baby killer” to my face

I’m sorry to hear that. But in my years spent around liberal blogs I have never heard such rhetoric.

Of course, these are isolated incidents. Liberals would never do such things or use such rhetoric…hmmmm

Flashback 40 years or so. You might recall the Viet Nam era .. you know the one where our soldiers were spit on, had feces thrown at them, raged at with all kinds of cursing by the thousands of liberals who conjured up their latest attacks in the comfort of their dorm rooms paid for by rich daddies who could afford to keep them out of the draft…

But maybe the liberals of today are different… hmmm

Every day is opportunity to relive Vietnam!

Oh well- here are some of the liberals who rested in the ‘comfort of their dorm rooms paid for by rich daddies’….
Speaker of the House Dennis Hastert
Former House Majority Leader Dick Armey
Former House Majority Leader Tom Delay
House Majority Whip Roy Blunt
Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist
Majority Whip Mitch McConnell
Senator Rick Santorum
Senator George Allen
Former Senate Majority Leader Trent Lott
Vice President Dick Cheney
Former AG John Ashcroft
Governor Jeb Bush
Karl Rove
Former Speaker Newt Gingrich
Former President Ronald Reagan
And everyone has a special place for a young man whose connections secure him a safe spot far from combat: George W Bush

To return to this century, to call those who oppose this war ‘liberal’ has expanded the definition of liberal to include 60% of the country.

This really pisses me off.

Don’t get too excited about this - the story stinks like week-old fish, and is beginning to fall apart. 10 points to Preston for recognizing the right-wing spin machine at work.

Got something you want to say?
