Florida Police Kill Suspect in Officer’s Slaying

Posted by Robbie Cooper on September 29th, 2006 | Trackback

Now we’ll be spared 10-years down the road from having to listen to Susan Sarandon and Danny Glover go on-and-on about what a great guy he is, how changed he is, and how he was just another black man shot by white cops, etc.

German Chancellor Merkel Responds to Mozart Opera Controversy

Posted by Robbie Cooper on September 28th, 2006 | Trackback

Luckily for Germany, their leaders are beginning to reject dhimmitude. Chancellor Angela Merkel condemned “self-censorship out of fear”, and has implored the Deutsche Oper to proceed with their production of Idomenio:

House Approves Bill on Terror Detainees

Democrats are — predictably — pissing in their Cheerios over this bill because they see it as a victory for President Bush. And — if nothing else — the Democrats hate Bush victories, even if they’re for the sake of the safety of our nation.

Terrell Owens Hospitalized: Possible Suicide Attempt

Posted by Robbie Cooper on September 27th, 2006 | Trackback

Today it is being reported that T.O. tried to commit suicide by over-dosing on pain pills. His publicist is denying the report. Here’s the police report (PDF). Read it for yourself, but it sounds like suicide (or a cry for help/attention) to me.

Heroes on NBC

Posted by Robbie Cooper on September 27th, 2006 | Trackback

I finally got around to watching the pilot episode of Heroes on NBC last night, and I’m hooked. It’s the best pilot for a new show I’ve seen since Showtime’s Dead Like Me.

George Clooney: “You don’t want me in politics”

Posted by Robbie Cooper on September 26th, 2006 | Trackback

True. We don’t want you involved in politics. But then why do you insist on continually inserting yourself and your lefty politics into every situation that you can?

Senator George Allen said what? When?

Posted by Robbie Cooper on September 26th, 2006 | Trackback

I just don’t understand why something some college kid might have said 30 years ago is a story today. Even more so, I don’t understand why Liberal bloggers are all up in arms about this story when they are perfectly willing to go to battle to defend Senator Robert Byrd, who was a ‘frikin leader in the Ku Klux Klan.

I’m Still Here

Life was way too busy, way too full, and way too fun over the last three days. Blogging and computers have been the furthest thing from my mind.

Forbes 400 Richest Americans all Billionaires

Moving up the list the quickest? Casino mogul Sheldon Adelson, who over the past two years has made $23.6 million a day — just under $1 million a hour (that’s every hour, 7 days a week for 2 years. Wow.).

Two Year Blogiversary

I wrote my first post on this blog on Sept. 22, 2004. Two years later and I’m still at it.

35K Protest Ahmadinejad at United Nations

If Cindy Sheehan blows her nose in a ditch in Crawford, TX you can bet it’ll get front-page coverage and headline status from the MSM. These days there are usually more reporters at Cindy’s events than there are actual protesters.

7 Songs

I usually just keep my music collection on shuffle, but I’m wearing out the new Bob Dylan album, Modern Times and American V: A Hundred Highways by Johnny Cash. Modern Times has a very strong Texas blues sound to it…I’m certain that’s the influence of legendary blues guitarist Denny Freeman from Austin, who was in Dylan’s band for this recording (Denny was a member of the Cobras with Stevie Ray Vaughan back in the day).

Friday is Muslim “Day of Rage”

Posted by Robbie Cooper on September 21st, 2006 | Trackback

How will that be different than any other day for the Religion of Perpetual Outrage? Seriously. From what I’ve seen, every single day is a day of rage in the Muslim world, and every slight against their religion is a reason to riot, burn, and behead.

Christian Executions in Indonesia

Posted by Robbie Cooper on September 19th, 2006 | Trackback

I wonder what the penalty is for actual attacks by Muslims (such as beheadings and stoning to death) against Christians? Oh, that’s right…nothing. It’s actually encouraged in Indonesia.
