Terrell Owens is batshit crazyLast November, I challenged Terrell Owen’s to a fist fight. Here’s what I had to say back then:

Terrell Owens won’t return to the Philadelphia Eagles this season after being suspended for…well, for being the biggest cancer ever in the history of all of team sports. More specifically, T.O. was booted from the Eagles team for getting into a fist fight with the Eagles’ Team Ambassador, Hugh Douglas. Afterwards, T.O. went into the locker room calling out anybody else on the team who wanted some of him.

Today it is being reported that T.O. tried to commit suicide by over-dosing on pain pills. His publicist is denying the report. Here’s the police report (PDF). Read it for yourself, but it sounds like suicide (or a cry for help/attention) to me.

I still maintain that T.O. is the biggest cancer in all of team sports history, but I sincerely hope he is okay and gets the help he needs.

here are my three best guesses

1. The Dallas police is correct and what is going on now is horrible cover-up, led by publicists who would rather downplay potential mental health red-flags to assure Owens keeps on earning.

2. Either the police misjudged the situation by wanting to play hero, or the media read too far into what is a just rough preliminary report, especially based on T.O.’s past, causing Owens to be yet again the center of attention.

3. His publicist overreacted (probably innocently), leading authorities to believe it might be a suicide attempt – which it wasn’t – and now is covering her and her client’s tracks because the last thing they want is people thinking Owens might be suffering from depression. (This is the scenario I am leaning toward believing).

The fact of the matter is, he was treated for a drug overdose and released… and I’m going to side with Anonymous’ first guess.

I could see how one could confuse their prescription drug(s) with their non-prescription drug(s). Hell, I’ll forever be the strongest adult in Bedrock, and my son will never suffer a day from PMS-related symptoms.

Now I’m going to go take 35 pills to lower my sarcasm level. Or was that testosterone….

Got something you want to say?
