Only in Houston:
A dispute between a wrecker driver and car owner escalated into gunfire followed by a high-speed chase that ended when the vehicle in tow broke loose and crashed into a taco stand in northeast Harris County, sheriff’s deputies said.
My younger brother used to be a Repo tow-truck driver in East Texas (Beaumont), but quit because of how often he had guns pulled on him and — on several occassions — fired at him. People just don’t like someone driving off with their car — even if they are 6 payments behind.
I know it’s not funny to the taco stand owner — but we used to joke that you couldn’t throw a rock in Houston without hitting a taco stand. Apparently you can’t wreck a car without hitting one either.

I love the taco reference… that is the TRUTH!
What they didn’t mention in the report was the police have confirmed the wrecker driver WAS stealing the Mercury Sable, pimped out for an upcoming car show (valued over $30K).
Like you said… only in Houston.
