1986 - The New York Mets defeat the Boston Red Sox due to Bill Buckner’s famous error in Game 6 of the World Series and go on to win the championship two days later.

It’s been 20 years since Bill Buckner’s baseball blunder bombed Boston’s chance at a World Series championship. Hopefully Boston fans have lightened up on Buckner since winning the World Series in 2004.
