Earlier this week, we had the BBC admitting that they are a Left-leaning, anti-Christian, pro-Muslim, anti-American news agency (no real news here, but thanks for sharing):

At the secret meeting in London last month, which was hosted by veteran broadcaster Sue Lawley, BBC executives admitted the corporation is dominated by homosexuals and people from ethnic minorities, deliberately promotes multiculturalism, is anti-American, anti-countryside and more sensitive to the feelings of Muslims than Christians.

And today, from the Left-leaning ABCNews The Note:

WASHINGTON, Oct. 23
How the (liberal) Old Media plans to cover the last two weeks of the election:

  1. Glowingly profile Speaker-Inevitable Nancy Pelosi, with loving mentions of her grandmotherly steel (see last night’s 60 Minutes), and fail to describe her as “ultra liberal” or “an extreme liberal,” which would mirror the way Gingrich was painted twelve years ago.
  2. Look at every attempt by the President to define the race on his terms as deluded and desperate; increasingly quote Republican strategists saying that the President is hurting the party whenever he enters the fray.
  3. Refuse to join the daily morning Ken Mehlman-Rush Limbaugh conference calls, despite repeated invitations. LINKImbue every Democratic candidate for whom Bill Clinton campaigns with a golden halo.
  4. Paint groups that run ads or do turnout for Republican candidates as shadowy, extreme, corrupt, and illegitimate; describe their analogues on the left as valiant underdogs, part of a People’s Army (with homage to Rich Lowry).
  5. Care more about voter disenfranchisement than voter fraud.
  6. Take every Republican quote expressing some trepidation about the outcome and banner it.

There’s much, much, more to their unbiased election coverage plan…go read the entire thing for yourself.

___________

Ace asks, “How is this two-weeks-before-the-election agenda any different from the other 50 weeks of the year?”

Uh…it’s not any different, Ace. But thanks for asking.

One Response to “What Media Bias? Part V”

Have you ever read the Note? To call Mark Halprin left-wing is laughable. He is a tool- usually for Republicans but almost always for entrenched power. In any case you don’t often hear liberals writing lines like: How the (liberal) Old Media plans to cover the last two weeks of the election:

On O’reilly, Halprin gave this weird suggestion that the media was going to behave exactly the opposite of the satire that he wrote in the Note: to balance the bad news for the Republicans- Iraq, Katrina, North Korea, Foley (basically their entire agenda)- that the media needed to bend over backwards in the last two weeks.

I don’t know if he was just kissing O’reilly’s right wing ass but it is a grossly inappropriate statement for a ‘journalist’ to make.

Got something you want to say?
