Ace thinks that Republicans are just plain evil:
Remember how Republicans let Gore win the most votes in 2000, only to take the election away via the Electoral College?
Remember how Republicans were set to lose dozens of Congressional seats in 2002, beofre a last-week wave of Republican enthusiasm boosted the GOP’s numbers?
Remember how Republicans deliberately refused to answer exit polls in 2004, justl to give Democrats the belief they had won the election, so that their hearts would be crushed when real numbers began coming in?
Are you dirty, vicious, spirteful little vindictive bastards doing it again?
I love you guys.
Ha.
Don’t look now, but the latest polls show something “very strange and quite encouraging is happening: The Republican base seems to be coming back home.”
______________
In November, if Republicans lose one or both houses — we’ll shrug our shoulders, figure out what went wrong, regroup, and then come back stronger in 2008.
On the flip side, if the Democrats fail to capture even one house in the November mid-term elections: they’ll take to the streets, they’ll resign from office, they’ll file lawsuits, they’ll threaten to leave the country (but fail to live up to their word), and they’ll invent consipracy theory after consiparcy theory on how the Republicans “stole” another election. In short, they’ll point finger at everyone but their own failed (or complete lack of) ideas.
Which probably explains why, in the last 40 years, a Democrat has only lived in the White House for 12 years.
