What Media Bias? Part V

Posted by Robbie Cooper on October 25th, 2006 | Trackback

Earlier this week, we had the BBC admitting that they are a Left-leaning, anti-Christian, pro-Muslim, anti-American news agency (no real news here, but thanks for sharing):
At the secret meeting in London last month, which was hosted by veteran broadcaster Sue Lawley, BBC executives admitted the corporation is dominated by homosexuals and people from ethnic minorities, [...]

On this Day in History: Bill Buckner

Posted by Robbie Cooper on October 25th, 2006 | Trackback

It’s been 20 years since Bill Buckner’s baseball blunder bombed Boston’s chance at a World Series championship. Hopefully Boston fans have lightened up on Buckner since winning the World Series in 2004.

Don’t Pop That Champagne Just Yet, Ms. Pelosi

if the Democrats fail to capture even one house in the November mid-term elections: they’ll take to the streets, they’ll resign from office, they’ll file lawsuits, they’ll threaten to leave the country (but fail to live up to their word), and they’ll invent consipracy theory after consiparcy theory on how the Republicans “stole” another election. In short, they’ll point finger at everyone but their own failed (or complete lack of) ideas.

U.S. Marines capture sniper rifles, kill 6, wound 4 terrorists

This is great news for US Soldiers. This is also bad news for CNN, as now they have 10 fewer snipers to get their “news” from.

The Dangers of Being a Repo Man

Posted by Robbie Cooper on October 24th, 2006 | Trackback

My younger brother used to be a Repo tow truck driver in East Texas (Beaumont), but quit because of how often he had guns pulled on him and — on several occassions — fired at him. People just don’t like someone driving off with their car — even if they are 6 payments behind.

Transparent Ballots in the Blogosphere

Posted by Robbie Cooper on October 23rd, 2006 | Trackback

Danny at Beltway Blogroll on the blogosphere’s willingness to discuss how they voted:
Americans remain free to voluntarily disclose how they voted, and in a political blogosphere that has become increasingly obsessed with transparency, that’s exactly what is happening.
On Friday, Glenn Reynolds at Instapundit informed his 100K+ daily readers that he had voted for Senate candidate [...]

2006 Mid-term Elections: Early Voting

Posted by Robbie Cooper on October 23rd, 2006 | Trackback

I voted for mostly Republican candidates and a handful of Libertarians. I did not cast a single vote for a Democrat — even those who were running unopposed (mostly for judegships).

Scheduled for Execution: Gregory Lynn Summers

Posted by Robbie Cooper on October 23rd, 2006 | Trackback

Summers may not have committed the murders himself, but he is as deserving of the death penalty as Andrew Cantu. Summers paid someone (actually he promised to pay — according to Cantu, he was never received the promised payment) to kill his parents and an uncle.

Countering the Left’s Googlebombing Election Scheme

Posted by Robbie Cooper on October 23rd, 2006 | Trackback

Reposting the efforts of BlueCrabBoulevard in helping to counter the Left’s Googlebombing efforts to smear GOP candidates:
John Hawkins at Right Wing News points out that Googlebombing works both ways. He calls for Googlebomb parity. So, in the interest of fairness and to really tick off a few people, here’s Blue Crab Boulevard’s contribution.

Muslim “Youths” Attacking Firemen and Police in France

Posted by Robbie Cooper on October 23rd, 2006 | Trackback

The story about these youths who are attacking firemen and police in France continues on for 468 words. However, not one of those words is “Islam”, “Muslim” or “terrorist”.

My Nephew, PFC Justin Earehart

I’m extrememly proud of my nephew. He is the first member of this generation in our family to join the military, but contines a very long and very proud tradition of military service in our family.

Did Sen. Teddy Kennedy Collude with the Commies?

Posted by Robbie Cooper on October 21st, 2006 | Trackback

What is the statute of limitations for treason? Because it sure sounds like Teddy was hoping to leave his country at the bottom of a river (figuratively) just like he left Mary Jo Kopechne at the bottom of a river (literally).

What’s Driving Liberals Crazy?

Posted by Robbie Cooper on October 19th, 2006 | Trackback

Yeah. That sums it up nicely. I wouldn’t be surprised (or even that upset) if the Dems win back control of Congress (and possibly the Senate) in a few weeks. The Republicans don’t deserve to win. But the Dems don’t either.
