Why is this little Sooner kid crying?
- His football team just lost to their biggest rival, the Texas Longhorns.
- His beloved Sooners have two losses, and for all-sake-and-purpose, their season is over.
- His family has a long drive back to their trailer park on the outskirts of Norman — and their 1974 Chevy Impala doesn’t have an A/C. Or a radio.
- He’s just immitating Bob Stoops whining on the sideline during the game.
- Pa told him he could have a corn dog at the State Fair only if the Sooners won the game.
- He just realized that — somehow or another — he’ll have to help pay off the bookies for Pa’s gambling debts.
The answer is obviously 7. All of the Above.
Oh, and it’s 5:51, and OU still sucks.

That was an awesome game!
When I saw this poor kid crying, I couldn’t stop laughing.
It was a great game, but not as good as the Dallas/Philadelphia game on Sunday.
I may live in Texas, but I’ll always be a Philly girl and I am afraid the Cowboy hate is strong in me.
But the Eagles are the only pro team I really care about. I’d rather watch 48 hours of college ball – preferably UT. I’m hooked on the Horns. But the Cowboys? Not a snowball’s chance in central Texas!
I share your hate of the Cowboys, Terr. Hate them almost as much as the Aggies (I’m a native Houstonian).
So you’re not a Pitt fan? No love for Temple?
My oldest brother played for Temple back in the 70s, in the Wayne Hardin days….. Joe Klecko was his roommate and his best man at his wedding.
But it’s strange, I never really felt the same for Temple that I feel for UT and I don’t even have a personal connection to it. I think when you live in the northeast, college football is just one of many things. When you live here, UT is everything. I do have to admit having a great love for JoePa and Penn State though.

This is sadly my cousin, and he was crying because his dad told him he couldn’t have a hot dog. Oh and they live in the wealthest part in Dallas. FYI.
There is a guy in Highland Park that has a giant inflatable 8 foot OU Sooner in a three point stance in his front yard. It is AWESOME!
