Have you ever read the Note? To call Mark Halprin left-wing is laughable. He is a tool- usually for Republicans but almost always for entrenched power. In any case you don't often hear liberals writing lines like: How the (liberal) Old Media plans to cover the last two weeks of the election:

On O'reilly, Halprin gave this weird suggestion that the media was going to behave exactly the opposite of the satire that he wrote in the Note: to balance the bad news for the Republicans- Iraq, Katrina, North Korea, Foley (basically their entire agenda)- that the media needed to bend over backwards in the last two weeks.

I don't know if he was just kissing O'reilly's right wing ass but it is a grossly inappropriate statement for a 'journalist' to make.
