Cpl. Ledsome joined the Marine Corps a couple of years ago with his younger brother, Brad. My brother Marty and I joined the Army together back in 1990 — on a rainy Saturday we went to visit a Recruiter instead of going surfing like we had planned. I understand the bond that these two brothers must have shared, and the conflicting feelings of pride and pain that Brad must be feeling.
That we have terrorist-wanna-be’s living and studying in the US is not at all surprising. I just found this story particularly interesting because I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Houston Downtown (in 1998), where Kobie Williams was also a student.

As a veteran who dropped out of a prestigious private college to go fight in Operation Desert Storm — and a veteran who has since parlayed his military experience and background into a very lucrative and gratifying career (read: decent) — I demand and expect a sincere apology from Rep. Rangel.
Hopefully now we’ll finally be able to find out who helped the aQ Times of NY to aid terrorists/endanger American citizens just to sate their institutional BDS.
It’s also telling that the Left doesn’t see a career of military service as a decent career. I’d counter that on the scale of all career choices, I’d place a career of military service as the pinnacle of noble, dignified, and decent careers. Conversely, I’d place a lifetime career as a teat-sucking politician somewhere near the very bottom. Just above kiddie-porn producer and just below political activist.

I’ve been long overdue to upgrade my blogging software (Wordpress). I have been running Wordpress 2.0.2 for quite some time, and just realized that the latest version is 2.0.5.
Wonderful. The aQ Times of NY hopes that one of our Constitutional rights will “die the miserable death it deserves”. Actually, every time they open their pie-holes, the editors of the aQ Times of NY make a better case for the First Amendment “dying a miserable death”.
