Austin Taxpayers Lose in East Side Land Deal

Posted by Robbie Cooper on November 30th, 2006 | Trackback

To appease the East Austin preservation groups, the city went out and found a third party appraiser, who somehow determined that the property was worth 7x its actual value.

Muslim Community Supports Houston’s Taliban

Posted by Robbie Cooper on November 30th, 2006 | Trackback

Instead of symphathy and support, what they as a community should be showing is outrage and condemnation. The sad truth is that most American Muslims consider themselves Muslim first, and American no-better than second.

In Response to Mahmoud Ahmadinejad’s Letter to the American People

Posted by Robbie Cooper on November 30th, 2006 | Trackback

I’ve had the opportunity to read your open letter to me and my fellow countrymen. Thank you for taking time out of your busy day (6:45 wake up to the screams of tortured dissenters, 7:15 hang college students, 8:30 tea with the Associated Press, 9:45 build nuclear bomb, 12:05 wipe Zionist regime from map, etc.) to write me that very heartfelt message.

Cpl. Michael Ledsome: Austin Marine Killed in Action

Posted by Robbie Cooper on November 28th, 2006 | Trackback

Cpl. Ledsome joined the Marine Corps a couple of years ago with his younger brother, Brad. My brother Marty and I joined the Army together back in 1990 — on a rainy Saturday we went to visit a Recruiter instead of going surfing like we had planned. I understand the bond that these two brothers must have shared, and the conflicting feelings of pride and pain that Brad must be feeling.

Houston Man Admits Trying to Help Taliban

That we have terrorist-wanna-be’s living and studying in the US is not at all surprising. I just found this story particullary interesting because I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Houston Downtown (in 1998), where Kobie Williams was also a student.

John Kerry the Reviled

Posted by Robbie Cooper on November 28th, 2006 | Trackback

Shit, even Jimmy Carter hates John Kerry…and Jimmy Carter doesn’t even hate the very Islamist jihadis who would cut his balls off and shove them down his throat moments before they beheaded him and broadcast it all on YouTube.

American Legion Demands Apology From Rep. Charles Rangel

Posted by Robbie Cooper on November 28th, 2006 | Trackback

As a veteran who dropped out of a presitgous private college to go fight in Operation Desert Storm — and a veteran who has since parlayed his military experience and background into a very lucrative and gratifying career (read: decent) — I demand and expect a sincere apology from Rep. Rangel.

Supreme Court Rejects N.Y. Times Request

Hopefully now we’ll finally be able to find out who helped the aQ Times of NY to aid terrorists/endanger American citizens just to sate their instituional BDS.

Rep. Charles Rangel: Perpetuating Anti-Military Myths

Posted by Robbie Cooper on November 27th, 2006 | Trackback

It’s also telling that the Left doesn’t see a career of military service as a decent career. I’d counter that on the scale of all career choices, I’d place a career of military service as the pinnacle of noble, dignified, and decent careers. Conversely, I’d place a lifetime career as a teat-sucking politician somewhere near the very bottom. Just above kiddie-porn producer and just below political activist.

Wordpress 2.0.5 Upgrade

Posted by Robbie Cooper on November 26th, 2006 | Trackback

I’ve been long overdue to upgrade my blogging software (Wordpress). I have been running Wordpress 2.0.2 for quite some time, and just realized that the latest version is 2.0.5.
Anyway, I just completed the software upgrade and am in the process of troubleshooting the site and verifying that everything works the way it is supposed to. [...]

NY Times Confused About 2nd Amendment

Posted by Robbie Cooper on November 22nd, 2006 | Trackback

Wonderful. The aQ Times of NY hopes that one of our Constitutional rights will “die the miserable death it deserves”. Actually, every time they open their pie-holes, the editors of the aQ Times of NY make a better case for the First Amendment “dying a miserable death”.

Muslims Threaten to Boycott Airline

Posted by Robbie Cooper on November 21st, 2006 | Trackback

Now one of the removed Imams is calling on all Muslims to boycott U.S. Airways. To which I say: Can you get them to boycott all airlines and air travel? I mean, if Muslims aren’t flying on airplanes, they can’t fly them into any more buildings.

UT Professor Robert Jensen: Atonement Instead of Thanks

Posted by Robbie Cooper on November 21st, 2006 | Trackback

Jensen — a privileged white male in America (Jesus, but how he must hate himself) apparently suffers from white guilt (and, as he’s also the author of “Pornography: The Production and Consumption of Inequality” and also considers himself to be a “Feminist activist” — he seems to suffer more specifically from white male guilt).
