I started writing UrbanGrounds.com on Sept 22, 2004. It took nearly 9 months to reach the 20,000 visitor milestone. It took a total of 19 months (April 19, 2006) to reach 100,000 visitors.

Things have picked up gradually around here: the second 100K visitors milestone was reached in only 7 months.

At approximately 12:20 a.m. this morning, the 200,000 unique visitor milestone was reached — someone from East Lansing, Michigan who found this post via a Google search for “kids want to smoke dope”.

Of course, if you started a timer right now and re-set the Site Meter at somewhere like Glenn Reynolds’ Instapundit, he would hit the 200K visitor mark sometime around lunch. Tomorrow. It has taken me approximately 26 months to reach 200K visitors, it would take Glenn just a hair over 28 hours.

Thanks to all who have stopped in, and especially to those of you who come back often.

I paid a visit to polipundit.com today to see if they had recovered from their immigration-related implosion last year. It looks like they have more or less but the wingnutia there is way too extreme for my sensibilties.

I trust I’ll continue to visit here to get my daily report from the loyal opposition (and to find out more on kids who want to smoke dope…)

Congratulations.

hahah! I am in love with you, Preston!

Congrats, Robbie… thanks for the daily read. Keep up the awesome work!
