I’ve been long overdue to upgrade my blogging software (Wordpress). I have been running Wordpress 2.0.2 for quite some time, and just realized that the latest version is 2.0.5.

Anyway, I just completed the software upgrade and am in the process of troubleshooting the site and verifying that everything works the way it is supposed to. If you notice any wonkiness, drop me an email.

Otherwise I’ve completely enjoyed my 4-day break from blogging. We’ve hosted a house-full of people over the holidays, and I’ve barely had time to log in for some site administrative tasks.

My parents drove in from Liberty, Tx on Thursday and went home on Friday. My brother and his brood (wife, three kids, and two dogs) drove in Thursday morning, and are still here on Sunday afternoon. My wife also volunteered to baby sit her bosses dog (golden retriever)—Between our three dogs, the boss’ dog, and my brothers two dogs, we had a kennel operating in our backyard.

We’ve had some great family time and lots of playing (mostly outdoors, as the holiday weather was sunny and in the upper 70’s all weekend).

Last night we put up the Christmas tree, as my brother’s kids love to help decorate it. There was much giggling and laughter, lots of egg nog-drinking, and even more story telling.

I love the Holidays.
