In addition to being New Year’s Eve, tonight is also mine and my wife’s 5th Wedding Anniversary — five years ago today, on the side of an active volcano, beneath a 200 foot waterfall, deep in a rainforest in Costa Rica, my wife and I were married.

So today will be a busy day of doing whatever she wants (she’s letting me go to Vegas tomorrow morning for four days with my best buddy, without her), which I believe includes taking our dogs to the dog park, shopping for a special little gift for her, seeing an early movie of her choosing, and then over to Uchi for a bunch of sushi, sashimi, and sake.

We’re taking a 10 day vacation to Acapulco, Mexico in February, which is the only reason she’s letting me go to Vegas without her the day after our 5th Anniversary. I married a damned-fine woman.

___________

I hope all of you have a wonderful and safe New Year’s Eve. Blogging will be exceptionally light tomorrow, as I plan on sitting inthe Sportsbook at the Bellagio and watching/betting on all six college bowl games tomorrow (our plane lands in Vegas around 8:00 a.m., and we’ll have our butts planted at the Bellagio around 9:00 a.m.).
