Off for Christmas

I had today off, and the weather here in Austin was just perfect — high 60s, with lots of sunshine, and almost no breeze to speak of. So I met three of my closest friends for a spectacular round of golf at Shadow Glen Golf Course.

This evening, the wife and I went and grabbed a couple of last minute gifts, then had dinner at the Fire Bowl Cafe (mmmm…pineapple fried rice).

The car’s loaded up, and tomorrow morning we’ll get on the road to South Houston to my brother’s house, where we’ll spend Christmas. Christmas morning, we’ll all drive to our mom’s house in Liberty, TX, and then later in the afternoon, my wife and I will drive to far north Houston (The Woodlands, TX) to visit her parents. Sometime later that evening we’ll drive back to Austin.

In other words, blogging will be light for the next several days.
