Beautiful and sunny — Vegas is one of my favorite cites, not because of the casinos, but in spite of them. This place is simply beautiful.
Flight arrived in Vegas around 8:45 a.m. yesterday, we checked our bags at our hotel (Treasure Island), and walked down the street to the Sportsbook in the Bellagio.
Pretty much all sports books in Vegas offer the same thing — lots of screens to watch lots of games, bookies ready to take your bets, pretty girls bringing you free drinks, and old guys sitting around peering over racing sheets and betting on the horses.
What sets the Bellagio sports book apart however is its comfort — the oversized leather recliners are perfect for watching a full day of sports. We were at the sportsbook, sitting in the same seats from 10:00 a.m. until just after 10:00 p.m. — and I couldn’t have been any more comfortable if I’d been at home.

Had a somewhat successful day of betting, but Oklahoma ruined what could have been a huge day. Damed I hate the Sooners.
I asked if anybody in the sportsbook was even from Idaho; one couple raised there hands and admitted they were from the Gem State. I realized that I don’t think I’ve ever met someone from Idaho before. After the game we wished them well and congratulated them on their team’s biggest win ever (according to them, it was the biggest sports win in the history of the state).
We didn’t do any casino gambling last night, as we were way too tired at the end of the day. Maybe tonight after the Wake Forest vs. Louisville game.
