I cringe when people argue that there should be no right to abortion for victims of incest/rape. A lot of bloggers are prochoice or just don't think the gov. should get involved but don't voice their opinion because their commenters are anti-abotion nuts. I resent that because then it allows any poster who refuses to march in lockstep to get hammered. Obviously, you are an exception. As far as gay marriage, I feel like I am being asked to comment on the Emperor's New Clothes. I'm never going to refer to some guy as someone's wife. I'm pro-choice on most things --- I don't necessarily support abortion, but I definetly don't support the govn't making laws that prohibit or prevent it. It's not that I feel strongly about supporting gay marriage per se, I just don't support the govn't making decisions on who can get married to who. In other words, my personal feelings towards abortion and gay marriage is one thing --- the govn't making laws that invade or infringe upon anybody else's decision to engage in either is another.
