Saddam’s half-brother, Barzan Ibrahim al-Tikriti, and former judge Awad Hamed al-Bander — both of whom were also on trial with the late Saddam Hussein — were hanged today in Iraq.
Officials showed journalists film of Barzan and former judge Awad Hamed al-Bander standing side by side in orange jumpsuits on the scaffold, appearing pale and trembling with fear as the hangmen placed black hoods over their heads.
As the two trap doors swung open, the force of the rope jerked Bander’s head off. The head fell to the floor next to his body in a pool of blood as Bander’s corpse swung above it.
Ouch.
First…I’m glad that they were trembling with fear. Secondly, I’ll shed no tears for the brutalness of their executions. Remember, Barzon used to send people to their death via a meat grinder.
The execution was video taped, but officials say they are not planning to release the footage publicly.

I don’t give a rats ass that they were executed either, or how they died. That’s just the point, nobody really does. If Saddam had been allowed to live long enough to stand trial for ALL his crimes, and then executed, more people might give a damn, might actually be interested enough to pay attention.
But he was executed quickly, obviously for political reasons, and his impending execution was announced, after his guilt, to give Bush and the Republicans a boost in the polls, right before the elections.
Well, it didn’t work. Now, I don’t give a damn, and neither do most other people.
So congratulations. Roughly 148 Shi’ite men and boys had their grievances heard, and received the justice that was their due. That means roughly one percent of one percent at the very most of all the people Saddam brutalized had their grievances heard and received justice. All the rest of them don’t get crap. They don’t get the privilege of seeing Saddam in court answering for his crimes against them.
And because since Saddam is already dead, nobody in the world at large cares anything about hearing about it, or about his underlings. It’s just not the same thing. It just doesn’t offer nothing near the same level of satisfaction as seeing Saddam have to answer for all of it.
Who the hell are these two guys again that were just executed? Hell, I’ve already forgotten their names.
Waaah, waaah, waaaah. Death is good for them. I don’t give a flying f4ck if you can’t remember the names of the executed.
As far as “1% being heard” – what, you wanna take more time, money and loss of potential life to go round up everyone else who had been a victim of Saddam and his pals? Similar things are done in the U.S. all the time. One shining example is Ted Bundy – he killed many a person but was executed for only a fraction of his actual crimes, you lefttard turd.
Just shut your piehole already. People like you make me wanna puke.
Shaddup Patricia. I am right and you are wrong. Need a hanky because the Republicans lost the House and Senate after Saddam was executed? Boooo Hoooo. Poor baby. If you had a crime committed against you, wouldn’t you like to have the person responsible answer in court for his crimes against you? If you heard he died without doing so are you telling me you would receive the same level of satisfaction? Well, you wouldn’t. Why are Saddams other victims so less important than these 148 Shi’ites?
And since you are so concerned about money and expense, what about all the billions of dollars that has been thrown into this Iraqi rathole to begin with? Why do I have this odd feeling you will find a way to justify it?
By the way, I was all for Saddam being executed, I would just like to have seen him stand trial for ALL his crimes, and for the world at large to be aware of them. Nobody cares about these secondary figures, so they aren’t going to pay nowhere near the level of attention. Get it?
