Johnathan Bryant Moore Set to Die for Murder of San Antonio Cop

Jonathan Bryant MooreUPDATE: He’s dead. He was apologetic to his victim’s widow moments before his death, wishing her happiness. He then counseled a friend who was a witness to “quit using heroin and methadone”.

I’m sure this “friend” is his deathrow inmate groupie, Lily, pictured at the bottom of this post, who — according to her MySpace blog — is in Texas to witness the execution.

At least it answers the question I’m always asking as to what kind of woman becomes a groupie to deathrow inmates. Apparently it’s one on meth and heroin. I’m not surprised and always suspected as much.

CORRECTION: The young lady pictured here (Jennie) is not one of the numerous Euro-deathrow groupies. This one’s from Michigan.

On January 15, 1995, then-20-year old Johnathan Bryant Moore shot to death San Antonio Police Officer Fabian Dominguez (29) during a robbery:

Moore and 2 co-defendants burgularized the home of William Braden on Country Flower and later returned to steal more items when Officer Dominguez spotted the three in the driveway and tried to stop them by pulling his weapon and ordering them out of the car.

As Dominguez approached the car Moore brushed his gun away and shot him in the face with a .25 caliber pistol he had pulled as the officer approached. Moore then grabbed the Officer’s pistol which had fallen into the front seat of the suspect’s car and shot Dominguez three more times in the head at close range while he laid helpless on the ground.

Police later arrested Moore after a chase and he gave a full confession.

On January 17, 2007 (the 30th anniversary of the resumption of executions in the US), Moore will be put to death for his crimes.

Officer Dominguez’ widow plans on attending the execution:

SAN ANTONIO — The widow of a San Antonio police officer said that she plans to view the execution of the man convicted of killing her husband.

Jennifer Morgan said that witnessing the execution of Jonathan Moore on Jan. 17 is another chapter in her journey to heal from the death of Fabian Dominguez, who was fatally wounded Jan. 15, 1995, when he tried to stop Moore and his friends from burglarizing a home.

“Justice needs to prevail,” Morgan said. “This is part of it. So, this is just part of that process.”

Executions are not about revenge (as most anti-death penalty zealots contend), rather it is about justice. Hopefully, tomorrow’s execution will bring Mrs. Morgan some closure on her husband’s death.

___________

MORE: Damn — does everybody have a MySpace page?

And here’s the cop-killer with another one of his deathrow groupies, Lily from New York (not all worthless deathrow groupies are Euro-trash), who — surprise, surprise — is a hoboing transient street kid:

Jonathan Moore and Lilly

  2. I don’t have any problem with the revenge aspect of it myself. Justice is good, revenge is good, the death penalty is the most appropriate manner to provide them both, in most cases like this. It’s certainly not any business of the Europeans or any others, we should get our people out of Europe as well as most other places and let them all drown in their own muck and mire. What can you say anyway about some fool that visits a death row inmate wearing a top with a skull and crossbones on it? If it wasn’t for Pearl harbor we should have just let Hitler have his way with those fools.

  3. Lily = Most likely to be a murder victim.

  4. “jennie” is Paleone — well knowned in antidp kook circles, being a big supporter of Robert Shields and Richard Cartwright. (Blech) Her age must be catching up to her because she looks almost normal. Generally, she is sporting a spiky mohawk. Pix

  5. Those pics send chills down my spine, much in the same way as when my “beloved wife” returned from a visit to TX dr (a trip she lied to me about) and I discovered Polaroids of her and this pile of excrement in the exact same poses, him with the same smug “I may be a total loser, but look what Santa brought me!” expression on his face.

For the record, I AM opposed to the death penalty on political and financial grounds. Plus, the bad part of me thinks it’s much worse to spend 50 years in 23 hr/day lockdown (with no visits, mail or other distractions) than to take a needle for the big sleep…

What makes you think prisoners would be confined to 23 hr/day lockdown if they receive lwop?

  7. So many people around the world tried to prevent this death… so many people want the killing to stop.

You can be sure there is a direct corolation, between those killing their own in the US, and those supporting American ambitions abroad.
Our eyes are ours to open.

  8. Thank you, euroweenie, for your nonsensical, illogical post. lol!

  9. Anon — good guess on the “Euroweenie”; his IP resolves to Amsterdam.

Jimmal — I want the killing to stop too. I want scum like Jonathan Moore to quit killing cops. I want pieces-of-shit like Robert Shields to stop beating women to death with hammers. I want animals like Sean Derrick O’Brien to stop raping, torturing, and murdering teenage girls.

When less-than-human scum like these stop committing capital murder, only then will the killing stop. Jimmal, it’s your buddies on Death Row who are responsible for the murders they committed and the consequences they are now facing. Maybe if you could talk to some of your buddies and ask them not to murder anymore people, that would be a good start…

It’s easy. Odd syntax + lack of empathy for the murdered victim or their family/friends = euroweenie.

  12. Is UrbanGrounds a hook up joint for White Males from Texas who have an unnatural devotion for the Bush family, NRA membership, a father who was in the KKK, Christian faith, no passport (a document used for travelling legally between countries)?

Mom, come quick! I’ve found the American Right Wing, festering away in it’s own self gratifying notion of justice!

    Posted by Jimmal | January 21, 2007, 11:31 am
  13. Ah, poor Jimmal — typcial weak-minded lefty Eurotrash. When bereft of ideas, result to ad hominem attacks.

Why do you defend murderes and rapists and attack those who seek and wish justice against them?

    Posted by Robbie | January 21, 2007, 11:46 am
  14. Hi Robbie,
It’s actually quite hard to consider the value of human life and develop a peaceful means of justice.
I only defend life; I would question the value you place on life if you are prepared to end it so readily. I am eternally sorry that the Dominguez family have now to live with such grief and pain; I cannot pretend to imagine their suffering.
1.Would you agree, that it seems strange to say “killing is wrong, and to show you how wrong it is, we are going to kill you”?
    2. Out of interest, can you tick any of the boxes in my previous message?

    Posted by Jimmal | January 21, 2007, 12:19 pm
  15. Life is only as valuable as those who possess it, so it’s value must be judged on an individual level. In the case of such people as Jonathon Bryant Moore, there is no value whatsoever to his life, therefore it becomes fitting and proper to end it, in my opinion.

Posted by Patrick Kelley | January 21, 2007, 5:12 pm
  16. Bryant-Moore & Dominguez were both born into the same world, if they had been brought up together then the outcome would have been very different. It is the things that happen to us that shape us. You have your beliefs, because of what has happened to you in your life. You have it in you to be just as twisted and distorted, should the world have dealt you a worse hand.
Promoting death can only serve to twist more minds; messages such as “send us a postcard from hell” are awful beyond words. What good does this hate do us?
I assume that you fit my entire Steretype posted earlier.

  17. lily was a world of strength for johnathan, the death penalty is not fair, you cant take someones life for them having taken someone elses, moore’s apology to jenny was enough, enough for it all to stop.. the death penalty is barbaric and old, outdated and against human rights.. it should be stopped..

    Posted by meela | January 25, 2007, 9:21 am
  18. Meela — it’s almost too difficult to adequately classify the level of idiocy that your above comment reaches. Especially this gem:

moore’s apology to jenny was enough, enough for it all to stop.

Are you absolutely fucking insane? Seriously. That would be the only reason that someone could say that and mean it.

Because what you just said is that all a brutal murderer (Johnny Moore) has to do is apologize to his victim’s friends and family…and that’s enough.

Well, shit — they wouldn’t even have to serve any jailtime, as long as they apologize. Because “that’s enough”.

Murder (what your boy Johnny did) and the lawful application of the death penalty are not the same thing. Only asswipes like you and your deathrow inmate worshipping buddies can equate the two.

I wonder how Johnny’s enjoying hell? I hope it sucks worse than any of us can possibly ever imagine.

  19. look ive lost people before
    an apology is suffice
murdering someone and taking someones life makes YOU, the state as bad as the murder, im not saying he should have been let off but a life sentence would have sufficed…

what if it was one of your family?

  26. I really don’t understand the notion that supporting the death penalty in some way increases the size of your penis (weenie?).
If this is what we are having to deal with, it is not surprising that people like Meela and myself are found convincing the remnants of Texan ideology that human induced death is not a positive thing.
Shout loud guys, cause you’re the only one’s left. Either that, or see sense.

  28. you look at the case of michael dwayne johnson. an innocent man excuted for just stealing some gas! when he didn’t even shoot the store keeper. justice
    i don’t fucking think!

    Posted by meela | January 28, 2007, 2:55 pm
  29. Michael Dewayne Johnson was not innocent. He was found guilty of the 1996 murder of 27-year old Jeff Wetterman. Every single appeal was denied and affirmed his guilt. No evidence ever exonerated him.

Johnson commited suicide in his cell only 18 hours before his death sentence. He lived like a coward, and died like one, too.

But go ahead and keep defending cold blooded killers. It says a lot about your character.

  33. Johnathan is not in hell, He was a religious man, and he never claimed innocence. He felt really bad about his crime. Maybe that rookie cop should have identified himself before getting shot to death with his own gun. What a hero. You guys are hateful. Lily looks like a beautiful girl and I think its beautiful that they found each other and helped each other.

  34. Just because people disagree with your view on the death penalty, and just because someone values life and fights against the death penalty does not make them a “groupie”. I don’t care about you or your blog or your views of me. But this groupie bullshit it pathetic. Obviously you and your little friends know that I am an activist. I am a christian and i am someone who values all life, i value the lives of the victims, and the inmates. Equally. It’s very tragic what happened to Officer Dominguez and Johnathan was always very regretful for what happened. He always expressed it every time i ever saw him. I had befriended Johnathan because he was into the same music i used to be into, and I wanted him to have a positive influence in his life from a christian who understands the music scene he used to be in. My bible tells me to love others. I use my musical taste and my lifestyle to reach out to other people that know i can understand them. You can call me a groupie all you want, but you don’t even know me and I could care less what you feel about me. I love others (no not a “groupie” love), i am a friend to those in need of one, i know that the bible tells me to that how i treat prisoners is how i treat Christ.

    Matthew 25: 35-40
    35 ‘For I was hungry, and you gave Me something to eat; I was thirsty, and you gave Me something to drink; I was a stranger, and you invited Me in;

36 naked, and you clothed Me; I was sick, and you visited Me; I was in prison, and you came to Me.’

37″Then the righteous will answer Him, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry, and feed You, or thirsty, and give You something to drink?

38′And when did we see You a stranger, and invite You in, or naked, and clothe You?

39‘When did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’

40″The King will answer and say to them, ‘Truly I say to you, to the extent that you did it to one of these brothers of Mine, even the least of them, you did it to Me.’

I doubt you are a christian and i doubt you care. But that verse right there sums up who i am. I love others because i take my religion very very seriously. You don’t have to agree with me, but you and your little friends have no right to call someone a groupie just because they are against what you are for.

I agree, there are groupies, i have seen them before. I can pick em out right away, I have seen in fact a woman who told a friend of mine she was in love with him, and plastered it all over the internet within only knowing him 1 month. I called her out for it too (he’s not on death row), i told her publically that she was a groupie and i was protective of my friend and wanted her out of his life. He has since removed her from his life because of her groupie ways. She then had a “new love” prisoner 2 months later. THAT is a groupie. But someone who shows the love of Christ to inmates because she believes whole heartidly in the fact that everyone deserves to hear about Christ and His love, is not a “groupie”. Some christians reach out to homeless people, some reach out to drug addicts, some reach out to murder victims, *I* happen to reach out to inmates.

I’ve been involved in prison ministry since 2000. And i don’t JUST reach out to “murderers”. I reach out to people that others normally wouldn’t reach out to. Not only do i reach out to inmates, but those who are into music scenes that other christians don’t normally reach out to. Many christians don’t reach out to people with tattoos, mohawks, etc. Well, since i have been into that for much of my life, I have the ability to show Christ’s love. And you likely will mock me for this. But I don’t have to let it bother me, i have seen what God can do in the lives of inmates. I have seen what God can do in the lives of punk rock people and goth people, along with regular every day people. I know i love Christ with all my heart, and I will never step down from what God has called me to do. I have the ability to reach people. And i do it. My life has been blessed and I know it.

So get over yourselves. You may be right, there are groupies, but just because someone was a friend to someone, does not make them a groupie.

    Posted by Anonymous | February 24, 2007, 10:23 pm
  35. Jennie introduced me to Johnathan almost a year before he was put to death while I was working with books through bars, so I hardly would call myself a groupie. I’ve also never visited any other inmates besides him. I LOVED and still do LOVE Johnathan. I wasn’t even open to loving someone in prison when I first started corresponding with him but it just happened. Like someone else said, Johnathan was very remorseful and he went out with a lot of dignity and respect. He also helped me change my life. Yes, you are a very hateful person.

  36. So get over yourselves. You may be right, there are groupies, but just because someone was a friend to someone, does not make them a groupie.

You get over yourself. You’re a groupie.

I wasn’t even open to loving someone in prison when I first started corresponding with him but it just happened.

You have any idea how many times we have heard that lie before? lol! Of course you were trolling for love on death row. How pathetic.

Like someone else said, Johnathan was very remorseful and he went out with a lot of dignity and respect.

If he were truly remorseful, he would have dropped his appeals and not tried to escape from prison.

Yes, you are a very hateful person.

Admit it: If I were a serial killer you would think I’m hot!

    Posted by Anonymous | February 26, 2007, 7:50 pm
  37. Anon (pro death penalty), you don’t even attempt to establish an argument in support of your case – you simply deride anyone who thinks differently. I am sure that 80% of your posts include some kind of insult.

Nobody would take you in the least bit seriously face to face, so why we are expected to discuss matters of such importance online is almost beyond me. I believe the only reason anyone here is talking to you, is to try and evolve that tiny sense of compassion that we believe is in everyone.

    Posted by Jimmal | March 1, 2007, 12:01 pm
  38. Oh right I was totally “trolling” for love on death row. haha. I don’t have a lack of potential partners in the present or past. but whatever anything I say will be picked apart by you so i will not take this shit seriously. serial killer? nah. Cop killer? now that would be fucking hot.

  39. also I’m not from europe you pathetic little fuckwit. how much of your time do you spend running such a lame site?

I think you probably have some jealousy issues when theres men on death row that can get more women than you.

    Posted by Anonymous | March 4, 2007, 12:59 am
  40. Jealousy issues…HAHAHAHAHA! That’s so delusional its almost comical. I bet there’s not a sane man on the planet that wouldn’t swap places with one of your death row slime buddies!!!

Some moron named Linda wrote this earlier on the thread

“Maybe that rookie cop should have identified himself before getting shot to death with his own gun. What a hero.”

So now its the poor cops fault for doing his job. How dare you insult his family in this way – you sick and vile piece of shit! I often wondered about the kind of person who would write to convicted cold-blooded murderers…well step forward exhibit A. You’re as bad as the people you write to, perhaps even more insidiously sick and disturbed than the actual killers, you’re like the maggots that invariably follow death around wherever it comes!

And Jimmal, I’m not from Texas – not even from the states – my dad wasn’t in the KKK and I have a passport but I support this site vehemently!

    Posted by Darren | March 5, 2007, 4:52 am
  41. Oh, did I get you riled up little one? LOL. No, The cop didn’t deserve to die but he certainly wasn’t following procedure. Maybe if he was a little smarter he’d still be among the living.

    Posted by Linda | March 13, 2007, 11:17 pm
  42. No, moron, you didn’t rile Darren up. He was just pointing out the obvious – you’re a moron. Officer Dominguez was in uniform. The murdering piece of shit confessed to his knowledge that he was aware Dominguez was a police officer and he was under arrest. It’s a$$hole comments like yours that confirm executing pieces of $hit like Moore is the right thing to do. Thanks, Linda!

    Posted by Anonymous | March 14, 2007, 10:17 am
  43. See, that’s the problem a cop faces, Linda, when going about his/her job trying to uphold the law – you know what that is don’t you, Linda? Well in case you don’t, laws are set out by the governments of countries to keep society functioning in the best way possible, and to ensure that the citizens are served and protected by these laws. Now laws are no good unless there are people to enforce them, brave people who put their own lives on the line everytime they leave the police house, because unfortunately there are cowardly people, i.e. Jonathan Bryant who decide not to take any positive part of society and instead try and weasel (apologies to weasels) their way through life, stealing from those who work hard for everything they have and own.

Now as if being a petty criminal, burglarising peoples homes isn’t bad enough, Moore decided to arm himself with a pistol just in case….? Just in case what? He was disturbed by a frail old lady in the middle of a job, or just in case he had to shoot a cop if faced with apprehension. Who knows what thoughts go through the puke-filled brains of such morons – except maybe you, Linda?

The fact is if Moore had of been smarter and didn’t have the IQ of an acorn then Officer Dominguez would still be here and his wife wouldn’t be a widow right now. You see, that’s the only real tragedy of all this…not the deluded crap spouted by Deathrow Groupies along with their crocodile tears because they knew him better than anyone else and that a good, christian man was ‘executed’ by the state.

Anyway, I’m sure he enjoyed all your letters and visits. I’m sure he enjoyed manipulating your naivety and your gullibility. I’m sure he revelled in the perception of injustice you helped him to pervay to any dimwit that was stupid enough to listen.

So in fact, you haven’t really riled me at all – don’t flatter yourself to think you’re that important, cos I guess thats what its all about deep down when you have to write to murderers to gain any substance out of your life. On all the blogs I’ve seen I’ve never once heard a sound argument from a deathrow groupie, or heard any empathy or sympathy for the victims.

    Posted by Darren | March 16, 2007, 6:07 am
  44. So because someone who wants revenge called it “Justice”, it’s not really revenge? If you violate someone’s right to life, you forfeit your own right to life, but let’s be real. It’s revenge.

And why the hell do they allow people in prison to have visitors?
