Started the day off by heading to the other side of the Strip, where someone had suggested breakfast at Raffles Cafe in Mandalay Bay. Great call — probably the best corned beef hash I’ve had.
Ended up back at the R&S Sportsbook in the Bellagio in time to drop a few units down on the Temple vs Duke and the Indiana vs. Ohio State college basketball games. Both nice winners for me before the night’s bowl game (Wake Forest vs. Louisville).
I took an early halftime prop (Louisville -6), which covered for me. Which is a good thing, because I effectively rolled all my day’s winnings into Wake Forest +10.5. They lost by 11. Ouch. But even for the day is not a bad thing in Vegas.
After the games we made our way over to Fix at Bellagio for dinner. Overall nice dining experience — upscale and trendy steak and seafood joint. Greg and I both had 20oz ribeyes and split a side of sauteed spinach. As good a steak as I’ve had anywhere, and the wood fired stove gave the steak a distinctive and nice flavor.
We finished the meal off with a nice glass of port, and then headed back to our hotel at Treasure Island. Two days in a row with no other gambling in the casinos — not poker, not Texas Hold em, no Black Jack, not even a spin of the roulette wheel. But that’s not why we came to Vegas; we came to bet the games.
Two days in Vegas, and I’m up a grand total of about $13. But, as I’ve said earlier…that’s not a bad thing. So far a great trip. One day left: the early line on tonights game (LSU vs. Notre Dame) is LSU -8.5 points. I’m leaning towards the Tigers of LSU to cover. I don’t think ND’s defense can stop LSU’s QB, Jamarcus Russel.
Thoughts on the game?

I hope you did go with LSU. have a great time and good luck. Later bro.
Hey Bro — yeah…last night was our best night of betting of the entire trip.
My first good call was picking Clemson to upset Florida State in college basketball (Fl St. was -2 at home). I took Clemson straight up +125. They won by two.
Then I put my biggest wager of the night on LSU -4 at the half. They covered that with the 21-14 half-time score.
My final bet, I asked the bookie for a unit on LSU -8 for the game. He put in the wrong bet, and I didn’t check my ticket before I walked away. Instead, he gave me the under on the 56 O/U line. Lucky for me, the final tallie was 55 points, so I was a winner on all wagers last night.
Been visiting my sis in Chicago area and while there took a little trip to the casino where yours truly won a jackpot of $1600 …
