Another unhinged Liberal Professor at Loyola University in Chicago
I’ve written many times that the world of academia is dominated by liberal elitists who don’t just hate the military, but teach that same hate to their students.
In this post, The Anti-military Legacy of Liberal Academia, I wrote:
But, sadly, today’s Liberal professors and educators are trying to convince today’s youth that, not only is it not their responsibility to serve as our nation’s defenders, but that it’s an evil and contemptable vocation to even consider. Others simply tell them that it’s beneath them.
One of my progressive commentors wrote:
I think you’ve moved the goalposts from professors and educators are trying to convince today’s youth …that it’s an evil and contemptable vocation to even consider to professors who use their lecturn as a bully-pulpit
That comment reminds me that there are many Liberal professors who do both — using their lecturn as a bully-pulpit while teaching that the military is evil and contemptible.
And Dr. June Scorza Terpstra of Loyal University in Chicago (and also teaches at Columbia College in Chicago) wins the award for the most vile professor in America for her latest rant, in which she laments having to teach former Soldiers and Marines in her class:
I knew in that moment that this was what the future of teaching about justice would include: teaching war criminals who sit glaring at me with hatred for daring to speak the truth of their atrocities and who, if paid to, would disappear, torture and kill me. I wondered that night how long I really have in this so called “free†country to teach my students and to be with my children and grandchildren.
The American military and mercenary soldiers who “sacrificed†their lives did not do so for the teacher’s freedom to teach the truth about the so-called war on terror, or any of US history for that matter. They sacrificed their lives, limbs and sanity for money, some education and the thrills of the violence for which they are socially bred. Sacrificing for the “bling and booty†in Iraq or Afghanistan, Philippines, Grenada, Central America, Mexico, Somalia, Vietnam, Iraq, Afghanistan, or any of the other numerous wars and invasions spanning US history as an entity and beginning with their foundational practice of killing the Indians and stealing their land.
Wow. Just wow. I’m all for free-speech, which means that I don’t think any law should be made to prevent her from spewing her vile hate-speech. But that doesn’t mean that I think a University should employ her to teach our children.
When you’re a college professor, and you openly spew this kind of shit, how can any student who is a veteran, a prospective soldier, a National Guardsman or Reservist, or any other student who is openly pro-military get fair treatment in your classroom (that’s a rhetorical question, because obviously, the answer is “they can’t”):
And now, here they sit in my course on social justice, terrorist war criminals, wanting high paying “criminal justice†jobs in a university Justice Studies program. They want approval, appreciation and honors for terrorism, torture, and murder. They want a university degree so they can get an even higher salary terrorizing more people around the world with security companies such as Blackwater or Halliburton. They want that appropriately named “sheepskin†so they can join the CIA, FBI, and other police and track down and terrorize US residents here.
I wonder what kind of grades those “terrorist war criminals” received in her class? Well, at least her bias is well-documented when they go to the Dean to protest their grades.
I hope she falls down the stairs in the quad and breaks her fucking neck. Yeah, I don’t mind when terrible things happen to terrible people, and I often openly root for it to happen, too.
(MyPetJawa satirically hopes someone on capus does the world a favor and pushes her down that flight of stairs — make sure and actually read his disclaimer in context of that statement).
And less you think that this is an isolated incident, the proud professor has her own website filled with her hatred for the students she’s supposed to be teaching and grading.
My favorite is this one, co-authored by her husband Husayn Al-Kurdi (what? She’s married to a Muslim? Who’d a fucking thought it?), on why we shouldn’t celebrate Memorial Day:
We seethe with rage at the TV whenever we see these ugly American soldiers and the hooded Iraqi prisoners. Don’t bring these fucker killer torturers back to this country to torture their wives, children, and mothers in their homes. Don’t let another generation of ruined mercenaries, military men, and now women too, roam the forests, urban jungles and deserts of America
Don’t let them back in this country? How about we send you and your hubby to teach at Tehran University and not let you back into this country?
If you are an alumni of Loyola U or of Columbia College, or if you are just concerned about them letting a deranged indivdual such as Prof. Terpstra teach college kids, then let the President of Loyola University know how you feel:

(And yes, I am advocating that she be fired. If she was using this type of bias and language against Muslim students, or black students, or gay students, you can bet your ass that she’d be fired yesterday. But since it’s directed at military/veteran students, it’s getting a free pass?)
I wonder how those ex-military guys can sit still and keep quiet in a class like that. I could not.
