Putting a crook in charge of our security

William Jefferson the CrookRemember when the new Democratic leadership promised to drain the swamp of corruption, and to run the “cleanest Congress evah”?

Well, if you haven’t figured it out yet — they lied.

From the Gun Toting Liberal:

All in the name of “political correctness”, and in caving into the demands of the HIGHLY polarized Black Caucus, House Democrats have nominated Congressman William “Icebox” Jefferson, Jr. to the Homeland Security Committee. The man is currently under Federal investigation for [cough] “allegedly” taking bribes on tape and [cough] “allegedly” caught with ninety grand in his frigging FREEZER, for crying out loud.

Meanwhile, this move serves to send a huge warning signal to the voters who grudgingly voted the Democrats in despite their biggest fears of America falling prey to “political correctness run up to TEN” as a result have just had these concerns confirmed with a HUGE EXCLAMATION POINT.

Ace adds:

…for some odd reason I think that taking payoffs ought to be a disqualifier from holding a position granting access to top secret information.

Thanks, Nancy!

Thanks indeed.
