Humor: Politcal Correctness Defined

One of the technical writers I work with is a crusty old retired Marine (he would take that as a compliment). He sent me this humorous bit from the Marine Corps League, Detachment #1106 out of Anderson, SC:

Following is the winning entry from an annual contest calling for the most appropriate definition of a contemporary term.

This year’s term:

Political Correctness — “a doctrine fostered by a delusional, illogical liberal minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end.”
