Turns out that other chick had a name after all — or rather a pseudonym (Shakespeare’s Sister).
One day after Amanda Marcotte resigned from the John Edwards for President campaign blog in a firey fit typical of her infamous form of hysterics — her not-quite-as-angry-(but equally anti-Chrisitan)-but-still-fairly-pissy partner showed her feminist solidarity and “quit” too.
To her credit, she did exude a considerable more amount of tact and class in her resignation speech than her misandrist little friend did.
This should put an end to the “Bloggers blogging about Bloggers” for a while.

This should put an end to the “Bloggers blogging about Bloggers†for a while.
Probably not. Every potential employer should now ask: “Do you blog? If so, under what name and what is the web address?” Because of the dust up, the continued attacks on religion, and with the nutroots going after Donohue (sp?), I don’t see how Edwards is going to be able to put this behind him. I find it ironic that these two women were hired to help – not sink, Edwards campaign.
I haven’t really been paying attention to this so you’ll have to point out the offensive posts for me but this rings truer than the ‘outrage’:
Amanda is a bigot and an extremist because she uses coarse language to criticize the Catholic Church’s stance on abortion, birth control and condom use — a stance which kills and injures hundreds of thousands of women every year.
Glenn Reynolds, the most popular conservative blogger on the internets, promotes assassinating scientists and religious leaders, and he’s backed up by other popular right-wingers. And there’s nary a peep from the religious right about the religious bigotry of assassinating religious leaders.
The “scientists” are nuclear weapons “scientists” helping Iran develope nuclear bombs that they will drop on Israel.
The “religious” leaders are mullahs and imams that are responsible for leading jihad and growing terrorism.
I’m in favor of using surgical strike military teams to assisnate the leaders of our enemies, too.
Glenn and other conservatives aren’t proposing the “assasination” of some pharmacutical scientists over at Merk, or calling on the assasination of Catholic bishops who molest small boys (though, a case could be made there, too, I suspose..)
They’re advocating eleminating our real Islamofascist enemies. I support that.
These filthy-mouthed women did no service to Edwards or the Democratic party. Last night on O’Reilly, after knowing full well what these women had said, the Head of the Young Democrats (not sure I got that affiliation correct, but close) said she would NOT have fired the bloggers. Now what does that tell you? It says, as a leader in the Democratic party, I speak for the Democrats and for a Democratic Presidential candidate and we support the filthy attack on Christianity and Christian values.
Edwards is finished and he should be. What would John F. Kennedy or Martin Luther King think of the party today? I dare say they would be horrified.
after knowing full well what these women had said,
Once again, what did they say?
Michelle Malkin’s site has had several posts with the quotes from these bloggers…a few days ago.
So it’s fair to criticize the politics of my organization if it is the ACLU but not if it’s the Catholic Church?
It’s not the politics of the Catholic Church that was being insulted, but the basic tennants of the religion itself. But, hey, you and your ilk can
insultcriticize all you want. Just don’t whine when it bites you in the ass. It’s not the politics of the Catholic Church that was being insulted, but the basic tennants of the religion itself.
Boloney. The basic tenets of Catholicism have nothing to do with whether condoms should be distributed to prevent the spread of AIDS. In fact, quite of number of denominations looked at the Bible and came to the opposite conclusion; that protecting the lives of the living is more sacred than an abstract concept of sex that isn’t even found in the Scripture.
Baloney yourself.
Here’s a pretty good link, Preston. Read it and I won’t have to repeat every vile, disgusting word. And, by the way, you should be convinced after reading it that it not only violates the tennants of the Catholic Church, but Christianity as a whole.
Preston … speechless?
Well, I’ve got nothing much to say about her. She does like to curse. While that’s no crime it was clearly a poor choice for a Presidential candidate.
That’s my biggest gripe with her and her supporters — their inability to comprehend that they were hurting the candidate they were hired to help.
We agree. Thanks.
