Have you seen the political ad that puts Hillary Clinton in the 1984 ad? It’s a pretty slick spot, obviously created by somebody with some technology know-how. The Obama campaign has addamently denined any involvment in the ad’s creation — but it turns that’s not entirely true:

THE POLITICAL OPERATIVE BEHIND THE HILLARY 1984 YOUTUBE AD has been revealed, and it’s about who you’d expect: “a Democratic operative who worked for a digital consulting firm with ties to rival Sen. Barack Obama.”

I think this is mostly a non-story. Obama has no blame or culpability in the creation of this ad.

But it’s interesting that the ad’s creator — Philip de Vellis, a 33-year-old strategist with Blue State Digital, a Washington company that advises Democratic candidates and liberal groups — has a not-so-clean record for this type of sock-puppetry.
I just find it ammusing watching the the infighting between the Hillary and Obama camps as they slowly begin to eat themselves alive.

It certainly was an effective ad. The core element of truth in it are that it reminds people of Hillary’s overwhelmning greed for raw power, Hillary’s belief that Hillary is above all other mortal humans in wisdom, and Hillary’s ruthless punishment of anyone who forms thoughts independant from her pronouncements of the truth..

It also reminds one of the fact that nobody, except maybe Chelesa, actually loves Hillary. Even her closests associates don’t like her. Her huge body of followers are there because they are afraid to be somewhere else.

Hillary’s people put out a ‘me to’ version of the ad. The Hillary version is amateur and childish. It’s yet another example of Hillary’s constant “Me To!” responses to anything Obama says or does. Every time Hillary trots along behind Obama she loses a little more of her reality distorition field and shows more of what she really is. A bitter, angry women, with no real life experience beyond a firm grip on Bill’s coat tails and a mean scowl.

Jim, I disagree. What I see in Hillary is the strongest candidate in the Democratic field when it comes to national defense. Any woman who would become President of the United States cannot be anything but tough.

This is a prime example of men who can’t stand Hillary. I don’t believe it’s the opinion of a lot of women, myself included.

Now, that doesn’t mean I’d vote for her, but if I have to choose who will defend me in the Democratic party current field of contenders, it would be her.

..if I “had” to choose (correcting my own poor grammar)

I’m not a Hillary supporter but the ad doesn’t stick as far as I’m concerned. The ad is effective in telling me she is ‘totalitarian’ but it falls completely flat in showing me she is.

This Hillary 1984 video is getting way overhyped. There are important issues out there more important than
clever little internet ad campaigns with no real message, especially one that isn’t even original.
