Jasmin, I am friends with Dane and I write him letters regularly. I think what happened that day was a terrible thing, but no I don't think that it should be an eye for an eye. I most certainly don't believe that Dane should have gotten what he got, he wasn't even the shooter. I am sorry that you have had to go through this. You are right. The Surace family has suffered for sure, but so have you and yours. I also agree with you about you childhood. Children learn by example. I hope that if you ever need to talk, that you will write me.
