Quick — name the furthest Left/Liberal magazine/publication you can think of.
If you said Mother Jones, then you know your Liberal rags.
Which makes this criticism of Barack Obama interesting:
Included with the plea for continued donations was the text of his October 2002 speech against the war in Iraq. Like many fundraising letters, key portions were highlighted, yet I noticed two occasions of ellipses used in one of the paragraphs about Saddam Hussein. What’s Obama trying to hide? I wondered.
While Obama has clearly been against the war from the start, it’s interesting what the first ellipsis reveals:
Barack OBama: “He has repeatedly defied UN resolutions, thwarted UN inspection teams, developed chemical and biological weapons, and coveted nuclear capacity. He’s a bad guy.”
So in 2002, despite echoing President Bush’s reasons for going to war with Iraq (and that that Saddam had WMD), Obama still didn’t support going to war against Saddam?
This even concerns the Lefties at Mother Jones:
…it looks like Obama bought the administration’s line about Iraq possessing WMD but wanted to avoid war anyway. Does America want a leader that is okay with rogue states possessing weapons of mass destruction? Obama obviously thinks it doesn’t.
Emphasis mine. And the answer is a resounding No.

(what with Mike Gravel making him like mainstream and all), but he has big mo with his Cheney impeachment proceedings. He isn’t alone anymore. TWO MORE Congresspeople have signed on. Three members of congress… This could be a movement. *Obama thought Saddam had WMDs and still opposed the war
