‘Oii’, I apologise if my comments came across as ‘crude’. I do however firmly believe that in context, there’s nothing negative with appreciating the beauty of the female form.

I’m not questioning her ability as a sportswoman, she is obviously very capable — I’m not sure about female vaulting, but males don’t generally reach there full potential till there mid 20s, so her performance is sure to improve — but as a beautiful woman you have to admit that she is incredibly striking.

In America you like muscular women, possibly with breast implants, in Italy we prefer slender feminine girls (with real boobs and ass, btw). Read all about this Aliison Stokke thing in the newspaper. So I looked for some place to respond.

Who in the world allows young women to dress like that for athletic competitions? The skin-tight short shorts, inches away from the pubic bone. (I think they call them little-boy pants) And shirts so plunging and so tight you would think the girls couldn’t breathe. Is this a public school team we’re talking about? What kind of coach doesn’t see how distracting this is? And who is paying for these pornographic uniforms? Taxpayers? What kind of school board do we have in place here? The girls are either picking out their own uniforms without one thought to what people might think. Or, you have some pervert coach dressing up his girls. Okay, you can always say “the pornography is only in the mind of the viewer. These are just uniforms.” My eye. Fashion today is irresponsible. I find this sort of thing to be reverse harrassment. And entrapment. Plus, don’t the girls and supervisors realize that the very thing that has happened will usually happen when this sort of “freedom” is granted to young girls. Can you say “stalker” situation. Is this just one more way parents are giving in to the day-care generation? Everybody gets a trophy when they are kids. And when they get older they can play “let’s dress up like whores” in school. And get $1000 out of their parents for prom accessories. The parents are mostly to blame here. So they shouldn’t whine when photos of their daughter show up on the internet. People are just responding in a natural, animal-instinct sort of way. You can’t hold back a million years of genetics because it is now “fashionable” for young girl athletes to dress like tramps. showgirls. We’re dealing with a group of girls who have always thought it’s okay to dress like Britney Spears. Well, maybe they will also have Britney’s fate.

My 2 Cents;
1) I really admire this girl; have you seen the interviews??? Doesn’t seam like she’s looking for “Model” attention, just trying to make her mark in this world with her athleticism, intellect, and maturity (very well spoken and humble for her situation).
2) Yes, she is very stunning, but this is just a really nice bonus that I hope she can leverage to her purpose, not others! 5) I have friends that fit this entire profile and just haven’t gotten the “press”. I hope she matures like they have and becomes the unbelievable woman that she can become. Ok, I just have to say… it is rediculous for people to say that she invites this kind of attention because of her uniform, she is an AHTLETE people, athletes wear spandex… that’s what it’s made for… athletics. To say that she should be wearing loose clothing for her sport is ignorant… loose clothing actually gets in the way when she’s vaulting and can cause unwanted pressure on the bar when she’s trying to clear it, only a moron would would even think that a woman needs to dress a certain way for HIM to control HIS urges. I have spent most of the day reading about the whole sensation and the attention her, her family and boyfriend have endured and I would like to make reiterate some of the remarks I have read and bring up some new food for thought - things I have thought about a lot in American society that have not really been mentioned in any of the things I have read regarding Allison Stokke’s phenomenon.

All in all, let me just say that this whole thing is a huge testimony to the statement I have not heard anyone refer to, and that is:

“THE DUMBING DOWN OF AMERICA”

I’m sure we all agree that the internet is now a dangerous place. It is a place where people we never see or meet can hide in the privacy of their own homes and comment on, post pictures of, watch videos of and truly affect the lives of people they may or may not know. I think these people need to:
