I hope they ask it, because I know you would be proven wrong.

Where do you get the bizarre idea that “A majority of the Left believes that Bush knew about 9/11 beforehand (and many more think he actually had a hand in it)”? First off, you’re logically inconsistent in your own writing - unless you believe that there are “many more” people who believe that Bush had a hand in 9/11 than believe that he knew about it. Second, it’s simply not true that a majority of the Left believes Bush knew about 9/11 specifically beforehand.

Here are a couple bullet points for you.

* A tiny lunatic fringe of the left and right believes that 9/11 was a government conspiracy. It is not the majority anywhere outside of an asylum.

* No candidate would hesitate to disavow those theories.

* Many people believe that Bush was warned that AQ had an attack planned - those people have documentary proof on their side.

I missed it last night, but there was a debate on Nightline called something like Does God exist, and apparently one of the atheists got so frustrated that she said, “I’d rather go to hell than believe in God”. Really? They’d rather die an eternal death ? Whether you’re a Christian or not, would any reasonable person wish such a thing upon themselves? They’ve even got a website where people can openly blaspheme God.

Think about it. The same “type” of people hate our country or Bush so much that they propagate outlandish stories against our own country. They can’t or won’t move out of here, so their only recourse is to rail against the government.

It’s a hate thing and they can’t get past it. There is no reasoning with them. Unfortunately, some of the weak flock follow them.

1) cops are pigs

2) military people are low intelligence maniac losers who want nothing more than to ravage the countryside like Genghis Kahn

3) Most fortune 500 companies have murders on the payroll to eliminate their critics.

4) Che is a hero, Jefferson was evil.

5) Marx was right, Adam Smith was wrong.

6) Japan was justified in attacking Pearl Harbor because of the America embargo on steel.

7) When the Jiadists say “Death to America” they are just kidding.

7) Bush is a drooling idiot.

Bush is an evil mastermind.

Given that world view its no leap at all to suppose that the moon landing was faked, Oswald was a patsy, and that the Twin Towers were not hit by airplanes, and that OBL doesn’t exist.

As an undergrad at UT Austin (a fairly liberal school relative to the rest of Texas), I’ve met ONE person who “sort of” thinks that “we weren’t told the whole story”. And he’s definitely not the kind of guy who votes. Too busy smoking weed and picking at his acoustic.

But I forgot that Rosie O’ Donnell is the new voice of the Democratic Party. I guess I better start printing up “Investigate 9/11″ t-shirts.

Kerry and Edwards have both recently pandered to the Truthers, promising to “look into allegations” and showed their support for further investigations into the WTC7 collapses.

Jim, I won’t call you names, and I won’t dream up a similarly goofy list of Republican “core beliefs”, though it might be amusing. Simply stated, I won’t dignify your unserious comment with a response. I won’t sink to that level.

Robbie - no, Edwards did not in any way “pander” to the guy asking about the collapse. He gave a standard “I don’t know WTF you’re talking about, but I’ll try to find out, yadda yadda yadda” response. Watch the tape - only the most stridently anti-Edwards partisan could call that “pandering”.

And I have no idea what you have on Kerry, but if it’s as weak as your Edwards clip, you’re really stretching here. I’m certain I could find similar responses by Republicans to bizarre, unscripted questions, but why would anyone in their right (make that correct) mind care?

I think the more fascinating thing to observe is that 3 out of 10 (!!!) republican candidates said they don’t believe in evolution.

I don’t suppose so- I guess you just find it more comfortable to demonize opposing political options so that you don’t have to seriously evaluate your own decisions.
