CORRECTION — Jasmin reminds me that more than one person lives in her household. Thus, two different people can share the same IP address. This is the same excuse that Glenn Greenwald used when he was busted pimping his own comments. Glenn claimed it was his roommate using his computer.

However, unlike Glenn’s excuse, I believe Jasmin.

Therefore, I retract my accusation of sock puppetry and apologize to Jasmin and her husband for the error.

_______________

Sock Puppet — “A sock puppet .. is a false identity through which a member of an Internet community speaks while pretending not to, like a puppeteer manipulating a hand puppet. In the simplest cases, a sockpuppet defends or praises its puppeteer.”

Look people, if you can’t make and support your own argument, don’t use sock puppets — they only make you look stupid.

__________

Over in this thread about Ryan Heath Dickson, his sister Jasmin has been an ardent supporter and defender of her brother, who was executed on April 26 for the murders of Marie Surace, 60, and her 61-year-old husband Carmelo Surace.

She’s mostly arguing against another commenter KMA, who knows quite a bit about the case.

All was going well until Jasmin decided she’d post as a “Government Official” in a thinly-veiled threat to get KMA to shut up.

The only problem, Jasmin, is that your IP address is logged every time you post a comment. Just because you change your User Name, doesn’t mean I don’t know that it’s still you.

And now everybody else does too:

Well, when all else fails: LIE.

…strong family attributes, there.

Whether posted by Mrs or Mr. Jasmin, it was still a veiled threat.
