Out running errands at lunch today, and didn’t have time to eat while I was out. But I did have a moment to stick my head into the Whole Foods Market near my office and grab some lunch to go from their Soup/Salad bar.

Today’s lunch?

  • Cuban Black Bean Soup
  • spinach and mushroom enchiladas (over a bed of fresh baby spinach)
  • a huge sea salt and olive oil cibbatta roll

All for about $9.00.

Food so good I had to write about it.

____________

I probably purchase more food at Whole Foods that I eat there than I do food that I take home and prepare.

For those without a Whole Foods, it’s an Austin-based Super supermarket, which bills themselves as “the world’s leading retailer of natural and organic foods”, with 194 stores in North America and the United Kingdom:

We obtain our products locally and from all over the world, often from small, uniquely dedicated food artisans. We strive to offer the highest quality, least processed, most flavorful and naturally preserved foods. Why? Because food in its purest state — unadulterated by artificial additives, sweeteners, colorings and preservatives — is the best tasting and most nutritious food available.

One Response to “Reason #1001 that I Love Whole Foods”

  1. With no disrespect to Whole Foods, I’m becoming real wary of foods purchased from all over the world, but glad you enjoyed your lunch.
