Because jail didn’t serve filet mignon and caviar

Paris Hilton out of JailWell, that’s essentially what it boils down to.

Paris Hilton was let out of jail after only 4 days served on a 45-day sentence because she wouldn’t eat the jail food.

According to CNN:

Medical considerations “played a part” in the decision to offer Hilton home confinement for the remainder of her sentence, Whitmore said.

He said privacy rules prohibited him from giving details about the medical issues, but celebrity Web site TMZ.com earlier quoted sources saying Hilton was refusing to eat much of the jail food served her.

Boo-fucking-hoo.

I’ve been to jail. And the food does suck. But it’s good enough for the other inmates — who I doubt the LA County Jail is about to start releasing anytime soon if they all start refusing to eat their bologna-on-white-bread daily lunch.

I can see the conversation now:

Paris: “What is that?”

Jailer: “Your lunch.”

Paris: “But I ordered the baked ziti marinara and some garlic bread.”

Jailer: <blank stare>

Paris: “Whatever. So, what is it?”

Jailer: “It’s a bologna sandwich.”

Paris: “What the hell is bologna?”

Jailer: “Shut up and eat your sandwich.”

Paris: “I need to see my lawyer. NOW.”

John Edwards is right — there are two Americas. There’s the one people like him and Paris Hilton live in, and then there’s the real word that the rest of us live in.

The next time this moron gets in trouble with the law (and make no mistake — with someone this so self-absorbed — there will be a next time), she should be thrown back into jail. But this time into gen-pop.

McQ:

Obviously she couldn’t be taken to medical care and returned to jail like any other “normal” inmate. Lady justice is peeking from under her blindfold, isn’t she?

Any guess as to why there is a building disrespect for the law in this country?

No guess needed here. I know why. It has to do with our blame the authorities and not the criminal mentality.

Now you’ve done it — you’ve pissed off Al Sharpton.

First, I thought the sentence of 45 days for this type of probation violation was too high.

Second, LA County jails are under a federal court order to relieve jail overcrowding. If you remember, Michelle Rodriguez from Lost was sentenced to 60 days at the the same facility and was released after four hours. Is this unusual? Nope. If anything, I’m surprised Hilton wasn’t already released due to overcrowding. That she was released for medical reasons means she’s stuck on home detention. So, do I think Hilton is being treated differently? Yes, but to her detriment compared to other prisoners sentenced to jail time in LA County.

And once again Sharpton cries racism. It’s not racism, Sharpton, it’s classism (do you like my new word?). Money Money Money. The jail was probably sick and tired of dealing with the onslaught by her friggin lawyers 24/7. God only knows what tactics they used. And then there’s Mama Hilton…oh please, this is so sickening.

Well, you are right about one thing, Robbie. This won’t be her last brush with the law.

Anon — Paris wasn’t released due to overcrowding.

She was released because the food was bad, her cell was too cold, and she wouldn’t quit sobbing in her cell.

Yet, the other inmates under the same air conditioners and eating the same food are still locked up in their cells while Paris is back in her mansion drinking champagne and eating caviar.

Sorry, anon was me.

Yes, I know that she was released for a medical reason before she would have been released for overcrowding. As I pointed out, the jails in LA are under a federal court order to relieve over crowding. This has been going on for about 20 years. It is not unusual for people to be released after only a few days, if not a few hours, from custody. It is not preferential treatment. More likely than not, if she had toughed it out for another day or less, she would have been released with no home restrictions due to overcrowding. With jails as crowded as they are, I’m surprised she was in for 5 days. I would have predicted 2 days, then early release. However, because she was released for medical reasons, she is stuck with the ankle bracelet for the next 40 days.

Mental note to self: Go to LA to commit my crimes.

KW: In your future life of crime, I suggest you stick to non-violent misdemeanors. :p

KMA-

Hilton was not put in the general population where there is overcrowding. Her stay in the section of the prison for celebs, police, and other high profile guests. This section would not come under any federal court order to relieve overcrowding any more than the hospital ward of the jail would come under that ruling.

The section she is in does not have a problem with overcrowding, and it has no connection with overcrowding in the general population. If overcrowding becomes a problem in the section where she is being held, she could be assigned a cell-mate. Overcrowding solved.

Pablo: I disagree. LASD is under a federal court order to reduce jail overcrowding. How the sheriff does it is up to him. She was originally placed at Lynnwood not because she is a celeb but because she needs to be in protective custody. Giving her a cell mate is counterproductive. I would again point out Rodrguez being released from Lynnwood after one day.

Anyway, Sheriff Baca just gave a news conference explaining that they are overcrowded with serious felons waiting to be transported to prison or to court for jury trial. Low grade misdemeanors like Hilton’s get early release and serve 5 days or less.

paris hilton should be treated just like other celebs that were sentenced like bobby brown little kim and even martha she violated her probation and she need to go to jail, she was drunk driving and could have killed someone unlike martha who swindled a little paper, or little kim who wouldnt snitch, lock her ass up , and let her do her time.

Kathy, listen up and learn:

Uh, she wasn’t convicted of a dui because her blood alcohol was too low. She was not convicted of a violent crime or lying to the feds. She was not convicted in NY and/or Florida . Michelle Rodriguez ( a brown person) surrendered at the same facility to do a 60 day sentence for a dui probation violation. She was released after one day due to jail overcrowding. The sheriff at LACO has stated that on low grade misdemeanors they release prisoners after serving 5 days or less. Hilton had already served 5 days when she was given a medical release. I’m sure all these facts will fall on deaf ears because you are so use to playing victim.

TMZ is reporting that Paris Hilton has not eaten, slept, been crying a lot and is acting withdrawn since arriving at the medical ward of a Los Angeles jail.Wow! That’s what my 5 year old does when I send her to her room.

I do have a question about all this Hilton business. If Nicole Ritchie ends up going into the slam, could we end up with parparazzi photos of Hilton and Ritchie going over the wall?

TMZ is reporting that Paris Hilton has not eaten, slept, been crying a lot and is acting withdrawn since arriving at the medical ward of a Los Angeles jail.

Which is exactly what I would do. One of the worse things about jails and prisons is the nonstop noise. Someone is always shouting, swearing, and slamming on metal.

NEWS FLASH

The Twin Towers professional staff has positively diagnosed Paris Hilton’s condition.

Miss Hilton has been confirmed to be suffering from an advanced case of HUTAS (Head Up The Ass Syndrome). Hilton exhibits the advanced symptoms related to a patient with their head clearly up their ass. It is known that if HUTAS isn’t diagnosed and treated in its early stages, the condition suffocates the brain and leads to irreversible systemic damage. Symptoms are characterized by a lack of intelligence, muffled hysteria and blind arrogance which enlarges the head making it more difficult to cure the disease.

Treatment for HUTAS includes applying repeated and sufficient force to each side of the buttocks with one’s foot. Having the patient walking or running while their buttocks is booted builds psychological remedy for the patient and satisfaction for the treatment specialist. Most professionals agree that in Miss Hilton’s case, several hundred treatment sessions will be required to obtain full remission. Due to the expected long and arduous recovery period, it is recommended that the public at large be recruited to administer treatments.

KMA, I’m going to have to do some research on the non-violent misdemeanors you’ve suggested. I have no idea what they are, but I’m sure they’re not going to be any fun to commit.

KW: Solicitation is a nonviolent misdemeanor. I’m sure it’s fun until you find out the person you solicited was a police officer.

She pleaded no contest to a DUI. The 45 day sentence is because it’s her SECOND time being pulled over, drunk, with a suspended license.

She has gotten less time than any other person would in CA. I only wish she had been pulled over in texas: 3-10 years in jail and a fine not to exceed 10 grand.

No, John, she was arrested ONCE for suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol, VC 23152. However, when tested her alcohol level was 0.08. Because there is a margin of error with breath tests and the prosecutor could not prove she was 0.08 or higher at the time she was stopped, per office policy, the charge was reduced to VC 23103.5, reckless driving with alcohol involved, and she pled no contest. The maximum penalty for a 23103.5 is 90 days jail/$1000 fine, which is obviously much less than 3-10 years in prison and a 10k fine which you claim is the penalty in Texas for a similar offense, cough cough.

While she violated her probation by not enrolling in a alcohol education program by the date ordered to and she was stopped driving on a suspended license, a 45 day sentence was way out of proportion with those given to other defendants with similar prob. violations and underlying crimes.

As the sheriff has said repeatedly, because of jail overcrowding, she would have served 5 days or less. By the time she was given a medical release, she already served 5 days. So, Hilton is being treated much more harshly “than any other person would in CA.”

We can come into this blog and whine about how reckless, immature, and wild Paris is, and how “Not Hot” she is, and how privileged she is, and how unfair the courts are and everything else. When what it really boils down to is that, we are the ones giving her positive reinforcement, every time she does something scandalous, shocking, outrageous, and immoral.

She’s like America’s little monkey. We say we hate how much attention she’s getting, but we cannot stop watching the news when she comes on, or we go into blogs and post comments. When she does something dumb we just say “that’s Paris” and move on with our lives.

We pay her millions of dollars to attend our parties and establishments so our businesses can get publicity. We have Television shows that exploit her ignorance of the “lower class” and we laugh at it.

We always brag about how “rich and privileged” she is as if it’s our money. We HAVE to buy the magazines with her picture on the cover. We complain about how kids look up to her, yet we have no idea what our children are doing on the internet at this very moment.

We say she needs to be whooped, yet our own children aren’t whipped because DFACS will come knocking, or because their skin is “too sensitive.”

We talked for days about how great it is she’s going to jail before they put her in. We laughed, and jeered and talked about it endlessly the three days she was in jail. When they let her out, we all had heart attacks and blame the only reason we’re talking about this so much is because “there is unfairness in our legal system.” Yea, right. Lets please stop lying to ourselves, and stop making ourselves out to be BETTER than Paris.

Notice a trend here?

Paris Hilton walks around as if she is privileged, better then everyone, and can buy her way out of anything because WE ARE THE PROBLEM.

We have allowed this to happen and now our conscious is eating itself. We feed into her ignorance, we watch her highly rated reality show, we buy the magazines, we take the pictures, we emulate her, and we try to look like her. Then we try to blame her.

If I was Paris and I had a bunch of sycophants following my every move, shouting, “Go Paris,” “You’re soo hot,” Giving me free stuff, putting my picture in magazines, getting all the gorgeous men, talking about me CONTINUOUSLY why wouldn’t I feel better then everyone?

She’s famous for nothing, yet her face is on the news 24 hours a day, she’s in every magazine, we talk about it when we get to work. Yet, we complain.

HA! I laugh at this. Sure, she’s put people’s lives in danger. However, what are we going to do about it?

Buy her book when she comes out??? Probably….

Talk about it non-stop.?? Maybe.

When she does act out again just say, “That Paris!” YEP!

We Americans are so money hungry we probably wouldn’t’ realize if we were taking a bribe (if that’s what really happened). We want BIG homes, BIG cars, BIG bank accounts, POWER, Prestige. Fairy tale weddings. YOUTH, Beauty. ATTENTION, LUXURY.

Hmmm…. Isn’t this everything Paris has? Now look at us, we’re hating ourselves. How amusing. Michael Jackson gets away with molesting young boys… and he gets away… Wynona Ryder steals from SAKS and barely is punished. O.J, Simpson kills his wife and he gets away with it. And it takes 95 pound Paris Hilton for us to realize that something is wrong. As the kids say….lol.

Therefore, again I say. Thanks Paris. You brought to light the unequal treatment the poor, and minorities get in jail on a daily basis. You also let America understand how much common sense they really lack. You showed us that WE are the problem Not you. Keep doing what you’re doing. Its not as if we’ll really care. You have to kill someone for that to happen.. Well…. I guess that means you’re good for something. By the way. When does your book come out?

Why did I write such a long essay you ask? I must be obsessed with her. Nope. Just hoping you all will see the light. Probably won’t. That’s ok.

Lets keep insulting ourselves. “That’s soo Hot.”

What’s with all this “we” crap? You’re entitled to post your views, but you are not entitled to speak for 300 million Americans.

As far as Hilton goes, my only interest is the misrepresentation that she received favorable treatment. Again, 45 days for her pv was too much. And as to the unequal treatment the poor, and minorities get in jail on a daily basis, it is only unequal in that if they had been a similar criminal history as Hilton’s and had been sentenced to 45 days, they would have been released in 5 days or less. Hilton has now served 13 days in custody.

Why did I write such a long essay you ask?

You like to give long winded opinions on subjects you know nothing about?

You want preferential treatment, look no farther than Rocky Delgadillo who prosecuted Hilton. His wife has a long history of driving on suspended licenses. Both drive uninsured which is a misdemeanor in California. His wife was illegally using his city issued suv and damaged it and he stuck the city with the cost of repair. Then there was the time while as the city prosecutor that he failed to pay his bar dues and his license was suspended. Delgadillo is the biggest scofflaw around and has the nerve to go after Hilton for bullshit? Both he and his wife should be in jail.

i ve heard her in jail , and was bad or good ,so i ve been in jail before it’s was not bad as your jail. so , ive been through all the court and i am done that.

Got something you want to say?
