In the comments section of this post, Preston reminds us that our country has civilian control of the military.

Eric at Tygrrrr Express has thoughts on that “civilian control” along with a novel idea:

There is a solution. Congress has an approval rating of approximately negative 5%. If it is acceptable to the soldiers who are tired of civilians micromanaging the war and trying to slow bleed the troops they claim to support, why don’t we just send congress home?

Having the military send Congress home? That’s a much better idea than having Congress send the military home.

Make sure you read the rest of Eric’s post — there’s lots of good stuff there.

_______

Don Surber thinks we should deport Congress. I think I like that idea even more. If they won’t work to deport the 12 million+ illegal aliens in this country, let’s just deport Congress and get a new group of lawmakers who will actually do the will of the people.

Got something you want to say?
