Spending more time “settling scores” than legislating change
Back on October of 2006, just before the November elections, David Ignatius at the Washington Post asked:
If they win the House of Representatives, will the Democrats embark on a two-year binge of investigations and score-settling? Or will they get serious about solving the country’s problems?
To which I answered:
You can put your money on “investigations and score settling†because the Democrats don’t have any actual plans.
I just wanted to point out that I was right:
“They’ve launched over 300 investigations, had over 350 requests for documents and interviews and they have had over 600 oversight hearings in just about 100 days,” Stanzel said.
Remember Nancy Pelosi’s 100 Hour Plan? Well, the only thing this Democratic-lead Congress has passed or achieved since taking control of Congress nearly 8 months ago is to raise the minimum wage.
The Dems haven’t done a single other thing that they said they would do in their election promises. Instead, as I predicted, we’re stuck with “investigations and score settlingâ€.
Is it any wonder that they are even less popular than the President?

Paris Hilton’s Revenge: Speaking of investigations, when the city prosecutor went after Hilton, people started coming forward with all the skeletons in his closet. Demonstrating his own lack of judgement and hypocrisy, the mayor piled on. Now, all his dirty little secrets are being exposed. Both may be forced out of office. The media has never reported any of this crap before until they couldn’t keep the lid on. I wonder if the judge is next to feel the curse of Paris? bwahhhhhh!
