On July 2 of this year, Lindsay Lohan turned 21 years old.
To mark the occasion, I wrote, “Lindsay Lohan Can Legally Buy Her Own Beer Now — when she decides to drink and drive.”
How prophetic of me. Less than a month after I wrote that, Lindsay has been arrested (again) for DUI (and possession of cocaine):
SANTA MONICA, Calif — Lindsay Lohan, who just finished a second stint in rehab for substance abuse treatment, was arrested on suspicion of drunken driving and possession of cocaine early Tuesday, authorities said.

A breath test was conducted and her blood alcohol was between .12 percent and .13 percent, Talbot said. California’s legal limit is 0.08 percent.
The 21-year-old actress was booked on two misdemeanor charges of suspicion of driving under the influence of alcohol and driving on a suspended license and two felony charges of possession of cocaine and transport of a narcotic, Talbot said.
During a pre-booking search, police found cocaine in one of Lohan’s pants pockets, Talbot said.
Did she learn nothing form the Paris Hilton Goes to Jail spectacle? Seriously — this girl needs to spend some time locked up before she runs somebody over. Perhaps she’ll get some real rehab in jail.
I’d like to know who she was chasing with her car.

How do you know she is an addict? Not every one who drives while drunk or has drugs is an addict. Rehab is used to avoid legal consequences and for public relations. Her problem may be more about immaturity and believing she can do what ever she wants without ever having to modify her behavior.
I agree, KMA. I also think her parents need to give her a good ass-whooping.
She’s in quite a bit of trouble now. She has two DUIs with injury, joy riding, reckless driving, and possession of cocaine. She can’t go to jail for the cocaine but there is mandatory jail for the duis.
How do you know she’s not an addict? It’s really sad when people just assume things without really knowing anything except what they hear on television and read in the tabloids. She may very well be an addict. We don’t know that. Has she made some really bad mistakes…yes. Should she be punished for it forever with negative media attention….no. I think she needs to pay a very hefty fine, do some jail time and then be sent to a real rehab facility outside of hollywood.
