:) I was just thinking the same thing.
Here's a guy that survived for four days whilst all his mates got bitten in two, who then rebuilt his life in a place called Amity.
30 years later, some Seaquest DSV actor asks him to acompany him and guy out of Close Encounters of the Third Kind to go and kill a really big bad shark.
Now heres the ironic thing. This guy lasted four days with sharks a plenty back in 1945, but near the end of this documentry I watched, the big bad shark eats half his boat, along with half of him.

The moral of teh story, never trust an actor!

No my friend, he was a Democrat. But back then, Democrats stood for what was right, not what was convenient.

Dianne --- the rumor that I alluded to was started by me.

It was meant as nothing more than a jab at our "blame-America first" Democrats and lefties, who have spent more time passing non-binding resolutions than they have passing meaningful legislation.

What the heck is going on here? Why, give me one reason, why Pelosi and Reid would do this. I hope it's only a rumor cause if it's not, the dems have sunk their own ship!!!

Hey, Dan --- political bullshit? Whatever.

The one thing this old Vet has never been accused of (at least not until now) is not supporting and honoring the sacrifices of this nation's heroes past and present.

It might be a subtlety lost on you, but I wasn't denigrating those brave sailors; I was disparaging the blame-America Left.

Now, I've never claimed to have much class --- but patriotism and respect for the military is one thing I'm not short of.

There's a sad documentary on this shown on A&E. They even interview the jap submarine commander that sunk the ship. While from a historical perspective the interview was interesting, it rubbed me the wrong way. I believe they used his testimony to unfairly punish the commander of the Indianapolis. (Eeriely similar to the Ramos and Campean story.)

883 dead soldiers, and you use it for political bullshit. My father served in the Navy in WWII, and knew some of those soldiers. You have absolutely no class. None whatsoever.
