What sayeth Mr. Murtha now?

Last month we noted that an investigating officer had recommended dismissing murder charges against a U.S. Marine accused in the slayings of three Iraqi men in a squad action that killed 24 civilians in the town of Haditha.

Well, today Lt. Gen. James Mattis (that’s 3 Stars for you civilians) has dropped all charges against Lance Cpl. Justin L. Sharratt.

If you remember, Rep. John Murtha (D-PA) called the Haditha Marines “cold-blooded” murderers and condemned them as guilty without a trial or an investigation.

I think I’ll call Rep. Murtha’s office in a few minutes and see if I can get a comment. Here’s the toll-free number if you’d like to do the same: 800-289-2642

Here’s what I wrote earlier about Mr. Murtha, and I stand by it today:

Hopefully, right about now, Rep. Murtha is on a plane to personally and publicly apologize to LCpl Sharratt. And I hope that LCpl Sharrat refuses the apology and kicks Murtha square in the nuts as if he were a flaming terrorist.

I bet Murtha ducks him.

Is John Murtha Going to pologize to the Haditha Ma…

For those that agree that John Murtha owes this Marine and the others a huge apology for making statements about their guilt without a benefit of a trial and having now found out that all charges have been dropped, below I am listing the ways for you…..

I don’t want him to apologize, I want him to retire. What a corrupt a-hole!

Ben Sargent published an incredibly hateful cartoon shortly after Murtha shot his mouth off.

I wonder if the Statesman will retract it?

Murtha is a total disgrace… to his State, to the office to which he was elected, to the Marine Corps and to his country. He needs to enter a home for the bewildered and get out of politics!

What a jerk!

Got something you want to say?
