Liberals everywhere start their crying
Thanks to reader KMA for the tip that Jose Padilla has been found GUILTY, GUILTY, GUILTY of being a homegrown, jihadi-wannabe terrorist.
I’m sure the Liberal and terror-sympathizing (and co-conspirators like CAIR) groups are already flying off the handle about this righteous verdict.
And, on KMA’s suggestion, I went and checked out the reactions at the “pragmatic” DailyKos (thanks, Preston…that term will probably be used a lot around here for awhile).
Some typical reactions from the writhing reactionaries:
- “That a dirty bomb is not even possible. I believe the Pentagon came up with that assessment, as well.”
- “That Was After He Was Tortured Insane! Who knows what might have happened, had Padilla had a typical trial.”
- “Mr. Padilla did nothing wrong….he neither killed or maimed anyone which is what prosecutors said he had signed up to learn…and yet what was done to him is reprehensible“
- “This verdict just makes me truly sick. I was so hoping that the jury would uphold law and decency”
- “If he’s found guilty, then basically we’ve given the government permission to torture us into insanity so we can “confess”.”
- “I admit I was hoping he would be found not guilty”
Sigh.
Padilla wanted to kill these KozKids (and me and you too) in their sleep. And they’re coming unhinged because he was found guilty of…[pause for rhetorical effect]…wanting to kill them in their sleep.
The left is worried that there will be much gloating from the “wingnutia”.
Damn right I’m gloating.

MORE Moonbattery:
From Firedoglake — one of the commenters hopes that innocent American citizens (the prosecutors and members of the jury) are tortured:
Nothing would be more satisfying that subjecting the prosecutors and jury to the same mind-destroying tactics that were used on Padilla
Christy Hardin Smith does come in and rebuke the writer, but only because she’s worried about the legal ramifications.
And over at the ironically-named Moderate Voice:
It’s tough to be critical of your own government. Everyone usually thinks they are the good guys.
Eh, asshole — our own government is the good guys. The Islamic terrorists are the bad guys. Why do moonbats have such a hard time with that distinction?
Question their patriotism? You bet your ass I do.

Michelle Malkin has a good round up and recap.

Indeed, they are. Have you seen the flyin’ Iman video over at Ace’s?
