The NAACP said Vick should get his job back with the Falcons after he serves his prison term because we should aid people’s rehabilitation. I have no problems with the concept. However, I don’t think it is private businesses duty to rehabilitate him, especially, if they are going to take a serious p.r. and financial hit for it. If the NAACP wants to give Vick a job after he is released from prison, I encourage them to do so.

I seem to recall the NAACP “piling on” a team of white lacrosse players when it suited their purpose…… Sorry, but I get tired of this “stand by your own” mentality.

You dismissed me when I told you the race card would be played. But I saw this one coming from a mile away. It’s not about race, it’s about a disturbed and demented individual, no matter the color. But the professional victims don’t see it that way.

I think Vick’s case has been given way too much attention in the media and is way overblown. What he did was against the law to be sure, but we need not overlook the fact that this man is a human being, and humans deserve better treatment than animals.

Give him a second chance.

I have to agree with you on this one. Vick’s condoning of torture of animals is terrible, and the NAACP should have left him to face the consequences.

He’s almost as bad as “Abu” Gonzales, except that Vick limited his mistreatment to animals, as opposed to uncharged, presumptively innocent human beings.

I hope they both get fully prosecuted.

Naz…you’ve made your hatred of dogs known on this page before so I discount everything you’re saying, Vick is a lesser being than a dog. He delighted over seeing them suffer and killed them when they didn’t perform to his expectations.

As for the NAACP, we all know how they’d defend a white player who did the same thing..they wouldn’t. They’re as racist as any white racist. Screw em.

You’re right, I am no great fan of dogs. As a matter of fact, I don’t think Mr. Vick did anything wrong, but that’s just my opinion. Let me just point out that I strongly disagree with your assertion that Mr. Vick is “less than a dog.” He’s a human being, never forget that. And I hold human beings in much higher regard than animals.

Also, you’re spot on the NAACP. I have a fairly low opinion of the NAACP, as I do with most groups that thrive on the `victim’ industry…but I have to admit the NAACP has now hit a new and disgraceful low, to the point where no reputable person of any race would want to be associated with it.

If Vick were innocent, his expensive lawyers would have told him they could trip up the lying friends who pled guilty. These 3 guys wouldn’t be able to make their stories match in court. They’d get tripped up easily. A jury would see that.

Here’s THE QUESTION someone needs to ask Vick for publication:

“Mr. Vick, before this whole thing blew up, was dog-fighting something you would’ve liked to see your kids get into?

I think we know the answer he’d give.

As an owner of a beautiful German Shephard and an equally spiritied Mini-Schnauzer, I was really upset initially with Mr. Vick’s decisions. Then I thought that in some countries dogs are domesticated, farmed and eaten as food. Wow! Talk about terrible! Then I thought, what about the animals we in the U.S.A. domesticate, farm and eat. Who is standing up for the plight of the helpless chickens and cows…what about the pigs and turkeys? Yeah, yeah, I know what you are going to say…it was just a thought anyway.

Are you kidding me? You mean to tell me that some of you people on this page care more about the rights and feelings of dogs than you do humans? That’s the real crime in this whole story. It shows the true humanity of Americans. They would rather defend an animal’s life than their fellow man’s life. You would rather humanize and befriend a dog, than to befriend your fellow American. Also, most of you are putting your own spin into your comments and you sound so pitiful when you argue human rights for a dog. First of all, under the laws of the United States, a dog is property; not a human being. Second, Michael Vick, nor anyone else ever said that he actually saw a dog fight. Third, he pled guilty to allowing dogs to fight on one of his many properties. Fourth, he pled guilty to betting money on dog fights, or supporting them. Well, this may surprise you dog lovers and owners for me to say this, but here it goes…IT WASN’T YOUR DOG!!! Your property, or dog, is not in any danger of being in a fight with another dog and being betted on. Like it or not, they were his dogs and his properties, and he treated those dogs as such. They were not his pets. They were his property. All dogs are not pets. That’s why so many of them get killed, or as you dog lovers say it, put to sleep at shelters everyday. It’s property. Why aren’t you so outraged about the tourture and killing of the dogs at animal shelter? Is it because they kill the dogs niceley? If that’s the case, you need to be fair about it and get just as angry and upset about one as you do the others, because to tell you the truth, a dog doesn’t care either way!!

The American Media is keeping the spotlight on Mr. Vick because they know that the dog lovers will defend to the end the human rights of a dog, more so than they would human rights . They want you to look at Mr. Vick’s face, get angry, and hate what he did to “your” dog, when in acutallity, your dog is sitting beside you licking his own ass. Where is the humanity in your argument that Mr. Vick is lower than a dog? I pitty you, sir/ma’am, because you believe that you yourself are lower than a dog. I hope that you will look into the mirror after you make a mistake and then look down at your dog and come to the realizations that the greatest part about being a human being is knowing that you are a human being, and the greatest thing about a dog is that it is just a dog. beotch
