One of the reasons I hate the (collective) Left so much is their inherent and institutionalized hatred of our military and the men and women who serve in it.

A U.S. Army Captain has an idea to root out and kill insurgents in Iraq:

A Pentagon group has encouraged some U.S. military snipers in Iraq to target suspected insurgents by scattering pieces of “bait,” such as detonation cords, plastic explosives and ammunition, and then killing Iraqis who pick up the items, according to military court documents.

It’s probably not the best plan, but if it nets a few more dead terrorists, then I have no problems with it. Besides, I’m not going to question the tactics of the men on the ground from the safety of my living room.

But that won’t stop Leftards like this moron at (where else) The Daily Kos from not only questioning the tactic, but also accusing our Soldiers and Marines of using it for “cover up” their war crimes:

Of course that “troubling possibility” is laid out in the opening sentence of the article. Not to mention the troubling possibility that the “bait” items might be planted on Iraqis after-the-fact to justify shooting them..

Ah, taken right out of the Jack Murtha book of accusing our troops of crimes they didn’t commit (crimes and atrocities that all Leftards just know our boys are committing against all those innocent civilians on a daily basis)…

Assholes like this — who most likely never served — imagine that our Soldiers sit around just sniping at anybody “brown” all day long, and worry about who’s a civilian and who’s an actual insurgent later.

Once again, the Left supporting the troops in that way that only they know how…

_______

If you have any doubts about how they feel about our troops (and you can stomach it), go read the comments to that post. Not a single one defending our soldiers. Everyone of them ready to believe that our soldiers would just randomly blow the head off of any old lady or little kid that picked up the bait:

Is there any question, whatsoever, that these people would throw out the rule of law like an old pair of pantyhose?

And by “these people” this commenter means our Soldiers and Marines on the ground.

I don’t believe we can trust, for one single moment, the military leadership in this country.

Comments like this just boggle my mind. And these people really believe that they “support the troops” and are patriotic citizens of the US? Really?

Wonder how long it will take some genius to figure out that you get more trade if you put out food, candy, baby formula or warm clothes so you can run up your count.

Again — this is what they think our soldiers do and/or are capable of? I don’t know how they can even stand to live here in the good ‘ol US of A…amazing that they haven’t moved to Canada, Mexico, or Syria yet.

One Response to “More Troop Bashing at The Daily Kos”

Robbie:

If you can’t see the inherent flaws in this “baiting” system, you must be closing your eyes and jamming your fingers in your ears.

What if, for example, some guy walking by the street saw one of these cords, had no idea what it was, and picked it up to investigate? Bam, shot through the head. What if he was in fact a well-meaning civilian who wanted to report the suspicious items to the nearest soldier he saw?

Is this really a good idea? No, it’s just plain stupid. Now, the harping of Kos kids who just KNOW it’s an excuse to blow away innocent Iraqis is pretty far-fetched, BUT the plan does have gaping flaws that will lead to excessive collateral damage.

Got something you want to say?
