I don’t remember a more corrupt Congress in my entire lifetime. And that’s on both sides of the aisle.
I’m not sure if there’s a single honest, selfless, decent person in either house of Congress. It takes a lot of selling out to get one of those lofty seats. And most, once they’ve got it, will do anything to keep it.
And perhaps no group has sold out more than the Democratic party has sold itself to MoveOn.org and George Soros.
Never before have I witnessed a special interest group say jump only to watch such an immediate response from the Democrats who are in their pocket.
This post at Investor’s Business Daily: The Soros Threat To Democracy, has another angle about the problem (beyond buying Senators and Congressman who are too afraid to go against Soros to stand up for decency and integrity) of Soros’ brand of influence:
Democracy: George Soros is known for funding groups such as MoveOn.org that seek to manipulate public opinion. So why is the billionaire’s backing of what he believes in problematic? In a word: transparency.
Clayton Cramer agrees:
One of the big issues for good government reformer sorts has always been transparency: that you should be able to see who is funding what political groups. This isn’t enough to make a system honest and fair, but at least if someone is using obscene wealth to manipulate the system, you should at least be able to see it, even if you can’t prevent it.

The IBD piece is good.
