However, if you want to get technical, in the same joking spirit: According to most Old Testament commentaries, "corn" or grain was the first item to be harvested:<strong> "And it shall be as when the harvestman gathereth the corn, and reapeth the ears with his arm...." Is. 17:5</strong>; and then the olives and grapes. So, using Corn or Iowa as the first fruits, is actually a great analogy. Iowa is the first "corn" to be harvested. Forming a "more perfect union", and promoting the "general welfare" means an orderly nominating process, too! Thus, Iowa should remain as the preeminent caucus! Both a biblical and constitutional scholar; with each passing moment, the Governor continues to amaze me! LOL!~! Chill out!
