Yes, I’m an unrepentant Fantasy Football junkie. I used to be an “any-sport” fantasy junkie — rotisserie baseball, hockey, and basketball, auction golf and NASCAR leagues.

But it got to be too much, so now I restrict myself to fantasy football leagues. And with tonight’s Colts vs. Saints game, the NFL season and Fantasy Football season is underway.

  • I’m the Commissioner of a 10-year old Keeper League with a bunch of guys (and one girl) that I’ve known since high school.
  • I’m also in a Pick ‘em League (choose the winner of 6 NFL games and 6 NCAA games each week, straight up/no spread) with a bunch of other friends.
  • I’m in a Survivor League (choose one team that you think will win each week, you cannot pick the same team more than once during the season) with the same group of friends from the Pick ‘em league.
  • Then there’s the $35K purse at the FootballGuys.com Subscriber Contest (build a team of 22 players with a $250 salary cap, then try not to get cut each week)

All of my Fantasy Football leagues (with the exception of the FootballGuys contest) are with real friends (not random internet leagues), and all of them are $$ leagues.

However, for the first time I am taking part in an Online Bloggers Survivor and Pick ‘em League being hosted by The Sports Frog. Here’s a list of the other bloggers participating:

Here are this year’s contestants:

Weekly picks are listed here.

My Week 1 Survivor Pick: Seattle at home over Tampa Bay.
