More Money Than Sense

Juicy AngelEver wondered what that saying really means? Well, here’s a perfect example from here in Austin:

…a Bailey Middle School Student was sent home from school last week for wearing a $75 T-shirt with the words “Juicy Angel” written across the front.

Ronda Gray, the mother, says school officials were out of line in deeming the shirt, part of the upscale Juicy Couture clothing line, inappropriate.

“In my opinion, the word ‘Juicy’ means sweet and nothing more,” she said. “I mean, this is a brand made for toddlers, too.”

First the obvious — $75 for a t-shirt? For a 12-year old kid? Seriously? If I had a billion dollars, I wouldn’t buy my kid a $75 t-shirt. It’s a freaking t-shirt.

Secondly — if this mom really thinks that “Juicy” printed over the breasts of a 12-year old girl implies or means “nothing more” than “sweet”, well…she’s a moron who’s probably too stupid to be allowed to raise children.

Note — the girl in the picture is NOT the little girl referenced in the article. I thought that was obvious, but I thought I’d mention it anyway.

The mother of this child is in serious need of a reality check…open your eyes lady. a 12 year old girl wearing a shirt like this is ridiculous with all the perverts in society. The mother must be on drugs firstly for buying her a $75 tshirt. and second for allowing her to wear it to school. Yet another example of a parent who is probably more interested in being her daughters buddy instead of her mom…an authority figure.!

It reminds me of when Abercrombie & Fitch advertised thongs for girls under the age of 6. Give me ONE good reason why a little girl should wear something like this??!!??

I’m pretty sure the picture is from an advertisement and is not the girl in question.

That is correct. The image is from the Juicy web site, and is not of the young Austin girl referenced in the article.

All i have to say is society is retarded, y worry about shit like clothing when years ago 12 year olds would get knocked up. So yah we have come a long way. ITS JUST A SHIRT! Also if mother was on drugs she wouldnt buy her daughter a $75 shirt.
