How to succeed in business by bribing Congress

Ace points us to this online database that lists, by Congress member, what earmarks each Congressman (or woman) inserted into various bills and the campaign contributions that can be tied to those earmarks they inserted.

And guess — just try and guess — who’s the dirtiest Congressman on the list?

You guessed it — Rep. Jack “ABSCAM” Murtha (D-PA).

This PDF lists the members of Congress who received the most campaign money from donors at companies with 2007 defense earmarks.

Rep. Murtha was bribed to the tune of $1.7 million dollars. Shocking I tell you. Shocking.

The top shady Republican on this list is Rep. David Hobson (R-OH), who was bribed to the tune of $527K.
