As I noted earlier today, the Wall Street Journal pointed their critical scope down range and found Rep. John “Back Room Deal” Murtha in the center of their sights.
One of the Left-o-sphere’s favorite heroes — an actual war hero to boot — was beat up in the Wall Street Journal. They pretty much called him out for the money-grubbing, pork barrel-loving, corrupt politician that he is.
And the blogosphere has chimed in with their thoughts on the article. Notice the large number of bloggers discussing this story today:

Notice anything missing from the list? Yeah — Left-o-sphere bloggers (with Newshogger being the exception, as noted below) are ignoring the article all together.
I would think that they would have showed up to defend their boy, or — if they had any integrity and honesty — condemn him for his money-grubbing. Especially since most of them probably don’t live in Johnstown, and thus are paying extra taxes to support his greed.
But nope. Since his un-paralleled greed can’t honestly be defended, they’ve chosen to just ignore it.
Except for Libby at Newshogger, who writes:
I’m long on the record in criticizing earmarks, and believe it’s in the best interests of our country to eliminate them entirely…
Well good for you, Libby. Perhaps there is an honest Lefty blogger out there. But wait for it…you know it’s coming…
…but the WSJ’s hit piece on John Murtha is truly a prime example of cherrypicking quotes to advance a narrative.
We all knew that “BUT” was coming, didn’t we?
A hit piece? You mean Murtha hasn’t lined his own pockets and those of his small town all in order to stay in power? The guy who called ethics reform “total crap“?

Henh…and he is still an unindicted co-conspirator.
Bringing home the bacon tends to make a lot of people look the other way.
