The aim of my post was to say that the alarmism about the DREAM act is overblown to extreme proportions. Even if you don't like the bill it is embarrassing to suggest that it is going to lead to the introduction of millions of new Americans. As for the DREAM Act itself: I don't think anyone claims that this will solve US immigration problems. That will require enforcement of the law. However, the measure is a modest way to address potentially productive citizens who came to this country through no fault of their own (they were minors, remember). The act has the virtues of both benefiting the country with new productive citizens and rewarding immigrants who have begun a path to success by serving their country in the military. OMG, 20 million new people overnight will grow to 100 million easy.!!! these congressmen are traitors as far as i am concerned...complete sell outs for cheap labor and most of all policital correctness. no one will stand up for fear of being labeled a hater..sad really the condition this country is in. all you can do is vote, email, and call.!!!! today Right on Tancredo.!!
