Breaking news on CNN that the USS Arleigh Burke, a guided missile destroyer, is pursuing a hijacked Japanese-owned ship carrying benzene, a volatile and highly flammable chemical.
The ship was hijacked off the coast of Somalia:
Pirates commandeered the ship, the Golden Mori, off the Horn of Africa last night. The USS Porter, the Burke’s Aegis sister ship, fired on and sank two skiffs being towed. At the time, the ship’s cargo wasn’t know, officials told CNN. Benzene, which is known to cause cancer, is used in solvents, plastics and synthetic fibers.

Maybe you would have been happier with a headline that read:
“Dastardly acts of swashbuckling off the coast of Africa! Unconfirmed sources identify RADICAL ISLAMIC TERRORISTS as possible culprits!”
