When Sen. Barack Obama inevitably loses in his bid to become the next President of the United States (whether that be in the Democratic Primary or in the General Election), his wife has already started laying the foundation of blame.

And who is Michelle Obama laying the early blame on? Black people.

Michelle Obama thinks that if her hubby doesn’t win, it’s because black folk don’t have enough self-esteem:

Reporter: “The polls are showing your husband is trailing Hillary by 46% to 37% in the African-American community. What’s going on here?”

Mrs. Obama: “First of all, I think that that’s not going to hold. I’m completely confident: black America will wake up, and get [it]. But what we’re dealing with in the black community is just the natural fear of possibility.

Riiiiigggghhhtttt….

Read the entire thing — in addition to blaming black people’s low self esteem for her husbands failed popularity — Michelle also tells the black community that they should be voting for her hubby for no other reason than they share the same color skin.

Now imagine that the white wife of a white senator blamed their campaign woes on the low self esteem of the black community…

_______

Don Surber nails it:

Voting for a person because of the color of his skin is racist.

It also is stupid.

Yeah, Surber nails it, and he could have dropped the other shoe, and said the same thing about women voting for a candidate, only because she is a woman.

Now imagine that the white wife of a white senator blamed their campaign woes on the low self esteem of the black community…

Well, that would be kind of a different scenario, wouldn’t it?

FWIW- I agree with Mr. Surber though it might come as a shock to the Irish, Polish, German, Italian, and yes African Americans who have been doing this since they were allowed to vote.

But from the comfortable position of being in the majority in this country- I agree it’s better to discount a person’s race when voting. (I don’t suppose the Republican base agrees that they should also discount their religion or lack there of)

Hey Preston.

How can you possibly compare race and religion? Race is what color you are, religion is what values you hold. So if you hold certain religious beliefs, it’s entirely appropriate to vote for a person who holds your same beliefs.

If you’re a Christian, you’ll be more inclined to vote for a Christian, and if you’re an Atheist, you’ll be more inclined to vote for an Atheist. There is no comparison between race and religion. None.

Really?

Yeah, Preston! That’s why Jews have never voted in the history of the United States! DUH!!!!

Hey whatever. The guy is a democrat, that is enough info for me. He identifies with and supports what the party supports, and I can never support such liberal ideology. I am still investigating who to support, but I can safely say it won’t be Obama or any dem. It will be a repub or independent. I no longer can bring myself to vote for dems.

I have thought about it after the downright horrible job Bush has done. But when I step back and think about all the things I can’t stand about bush, the dems are only much much worse on ALL those things. So a democrat is most certainly out for me. I don’t care what color or faith he/she is.

The democrat party has lost its way and now fully embraces the most radical of left wing ideas. What I am still trying to find out is, are there any true conservatives running? Maybe hunter, tancredo, huckabee, paul.

These few might be the best I can hope for. It sure ain’t Rudy, that guy is a friggin moderate liberal at best. True conservatives better think twice about Rudy, he will not hold the line on the majority of conservative social issues. It also goes to show how corrupt and twisted our religious leaders have become when pat Robertson endorses this guy??? What? I thought it was a joke when I heard that.

Hey Pat what about abortion? What about the gay agenda? What about making government smaller not bigger? What about getting rid of a large majority of welfare programs? What about a flat tax? What about getting rid of the IRS so we can actually keep more of our money and not have uncle sam steal from us just to redistribute huge amounts to people who won’t work or people who don’t deserve anything because they are not citizens? What about the human traffic, slave wages, law breaking and death involved in illegal immigration? What about a border fence??

Does Pat Robertson actually think Rudy will do anything about this stuff? Will Rudy hold the true conservative line on any of these issues?? Now that’s what I call true faith if Pat believes that.

Got something you want to say?
